Glad you put this together- gives me sources for 'happy' Christians....the fun songs. People seem upset so much now...I get why but where is the JOY in the hearts of God's people? Let the joy come forth we need it & to share it, so much right now! ❤🎉

This list is a goldmine for high energy music. I'm trying to add to my running list of Christian songs & 80s is my favorite era of music. Thanks for this!!!

Stryper is my favorite metal band of all time! The whole list is fabulous.

This is an amazing list! It highlights a lot of rock singers/bands from this era that I need to check out, even though I’ve been digging through 80s music for almost a decade now.
Only nitpick is that it was mainly rock based so a lot of famous pop singers (such as Sandi Patty and Twila Paris) were left out.

Interesting how music changed from the first har of the 80s to the latter half. A lot more Barren Cross, Whitecross, Bloodgood. That’s the ‘Stryper on MTV’ effect for sure. Good times.

We already knew Amy Grant was going to be featured heavily on this video! She was the pioneer of CCM!

Definitely just your opinion not actually chart based. : ) But i still appreciate it. Its a lot more rock focused then the actual billboard christian charts work.
I will say that im glad you included amy grant at least somewhat. She would have dominated this list if it was actually chart based. : )

When 80s worship/christian music sounds better than modern christian music.

The modern stuff sounds pretty good if not better, although we might come from different eras. Many modern Christian songs from about 2011 onwards borrow a lot of elements from 80s music.

I love this, but is there a method of choice, or did you pick your favorites? I'd also love to know where you got so many high quality versions of music videos, many of which I've only found grainy "vcr" quality online. The production of the video is also very well done. Heck I was even surprised by the 77s video from 1982....was that from Ping Pong Over the Abyss? I didn't recognize it, and I LOVE the 77s (and pretty much anything Mike Roe has done). This is just a person thing with me, but there were a few bands/songs that had Christian members, but didn't write "Christian" music and did not identify as "Christian" but like I said, that's just a "me" thing and not a criticism. I loved all the songs you put on! Thanx for the great video! I subscribed and looking forward to more! God bless my friend!

The selection of songs was idealized according to the channel classification, favorites list. Many of these videos are available on these channels: @ccmclassictv, @GospelClassicForever and @robbase1969. That's right the song by The 77s is from the album "Ping Pong over the Abyss". Some artists on the list were not labeled as CCM, but we included them because they are Christians, and because they emphasize their faith in the lyrics, addressing spiritual or positive themes. Thanks for subscribed! :)

Most are available on TH-cam on these channels: @ccmclassictv, @GospelClassicForever and @robbase1969. Some songs on the list do not have music videos, we adapted concert scenes and excerpts from official video clips. Thanks for watching!
