Thank you. Those lower register harmonies! Never anything quite like it.

Yes, this piece is o e of my favorites, I think it is the cadences and resolutions in these pieces, it pulls at your heart and then has the most beautiful resolution.

Beautiful piece, beautiful performance, and a very beautiful reaction. I've loved Byrd for years, and this was a wonderful video. Thank you.

For me, this was the very best combination of voices that Voces 8 ever had. This particular octet.

    💐BRAVO!!!💐
A wonderful NAN (No Autotune Needed) recording. ❤️
I sure hope when I pass that this is what the “Welcome Wagon” team sounds like!

A case of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. Nothing showy. Restrained but incredibly powerful. I'm going to see and hear them in April.

As an amateur singer in a mixed a Capella choir we never tackled Byrd, but did sing songs by his student Morley, and his contemporary Dowland. Not to this level though. Some groaning was involved in practicing to get those harmonies and dynamics right; it was hard work, but when we got it right while performing it was much appreciated.
