This song literally brought tears to my eyes. I grew up my teenage years with TheFatRat, and this original song closed the final year of highschool for me. Bump into it now brings so much memories, both bad and good ones.
TheFatRat pieces are good for gaming which they are designed for. Monody was the one piece that actually transcended his usual spiel and the only piece he ever published that was close to S-Tier Beethoven quality. I sometimes feel bad he never before or after published anything remotely as good but feel blessed nonetheless to at least have monody.

A friend of mine watched the original Monody video in 6th-7th grade and told me all about how the comments then were just full of nostalgia for the song. When I saw this uploaded, I reminded them of that, held up my computer with this on the screen and grinned, "Wanna do it again?" "Heck. Yeah."
The perfect combination between epic fantasy and dream trance. It's like watching the aftermath of a Helm's Deep battle from a great fantasy series, and then the end credits roll with your favorite trance song on an epic scale.
I don't know if someone made this kind of comment already but in this version of Monody, I made a story and movie in my mind with many scenes based on how I see each part of the song. The story is about a princess, she's very adventurous and wants to know the secrets about the world within. She recently heard a tale about the human-dragon war and wants to solve it by putting dragons and humans together as good companions again. So at the part of the song 0:00 I imagine the princess playing her piano in a little room surrounded by books and old antiques. She takes a little glance at the window as her only source of light in the room and walks towards it. At 0:11, the camera from 1st person perspective goes outside the window. It shows a vast land with green grass, a huge tree, and a flowing river. Behind it there are mountains that lead to the unknown just like the background of this video. At 0:24 the camera faces towards the sky with the movie title alongside a flock of birds flying together into the mountains. At 0:38 the princess runs downstairs informed about an important announcement with many people hearing the speech. This part of the movie has no music from this video. The king announced that he declares war against the dragons again to claim the kingdom's righteous victory so chaos will be stopped. The princess believes that no one is born evil and there is a reason behind everything, so she yells at her father saying that she shall decide about the war when she solves the mystery of the human-dragon war. The king refuses to let his daughter to visit the dragons because he says it's too dangerous. They both argue infront of the crowd and after a while, it became silent. The princess runs away from the castle and at 0:57, that's when she runs across the vast flower field dreaming of discovering what's really behind all this. This part also has no music from this video: During the night, she sneaks out of the castle and ventures into the unknown searching for what she really wanted to discover. I'm still thinking of a scene for the next parts but the reason why humans and dragons fought is this: A long time ago a fiery dragon betrayed its own kind and attacked humans with its clan. The humans hated them so much saying all of them were monsters just because that one incident happened. The rest of the dragons don't attack humans but the people declared war against them. The dragons couldn't do anything so they just tried to fly away from the kingdom but some of them died because of torture by the people. The princess deeply apologizes to the dragons after hearing the story and promises she shall bring back peace again. She earns the trust of all the dragons. A few days later, the war started. The dragons didn't want to fight because they didn't want to be considered evil but they had no choice. Fire after fire, the kingdom was surrounded by fire caused by the dragons. Several humans and dragons died during the fight. When the princess arrives, she tells the story to all the people why there should be peace again. The dragons immediately show how they are not evil. The king finally stops the war and everyone was happy. 2:14 is when the movie is at it's ending. The scene shows all the fire disappearing and the kingdom becoming how it should be. Flowers bloom again and the grass turns back to green. People celebrate in joy together with the dragons. It also shows the afternoon turning to night as the humans ride the dragons freely with the wind blowing in their hair. At 3:05, the princess hops onto a dragon as they blast into the sky. The camera in 1st person perspective shows them in the clouds expressing themselves freely. The princess holds a torch of fire and the camera comes closer to the torch turning into a black screen. At 3:19 comes a black screen with the movie title written on it. The End
The music just teleports me to where the backround is and its sudden accelerations in rhythm makes me ponder of epic adventures there, also the vocals add some kind of relationship with the adventurers (memories prob)... Amazing song to escape reality😅
