Every one of your videos are great. But I thoroughly enjoy these type. Showing us how you break down a lake and actually catching fish. You guys give great tips, and watching you apply techniques just shows how well-rounded fishermen you are.
I love all the videos, but I truly enjoy it when you guys film with the chest cameras. I like to see exactly how you are working the bait, all the twitches and speed of the reel. We can not see all the good stuff when the carerma is on the dash. More Chesty please!
Yes, walk through and how you will store lures, etc. on this new bad boy of a boat, please!!! Just bought an FXR as well. Perfect timing. Lucky for me. Congrats!!!
Hey did I miss something or seeing things because that looks like a new boat. Right on Tim and also I really enjoy this videos. Going out just fishing and breaking down new lakes. Just moved out of California to the northwest and trying to find me some bass. Thanks for all the great videos and tips.
Ya might want to see if the DNR has any idea if the Drum are spawning with the Smallmouth. That smallmouth you caught sure did look like a hybrid between the two. It had the Smallmouth colors but that humpback sure made it look like a Drum.
Exactly what I said to my son, that is shaped just like a Drum. I have never herd of Drum and smallie’s cross breeding but it sure was shaped like one.🤙
That's kinda scary..... In the last couple of years I've caught three largemouth out of Hartwell and my son caught a "humpback" largie in Lanier that look exactly like that "humpback" Smallmouth. I've wondered if it was some type of physical damage that happened as fry, or a genetic problem. They are extremely weird looking but, they all looked like they were fat & healthy. When I catch one, although I'm a catch-N-release fisherman, I keep and take it to a friend who loves to eat bass.....(he's still alive 😁). P.S. I don't think it's possible for drum & bass to inter-breed.
Perfect timing to catch that smallmouth with the river tour boat going by. I’ll bet there was some guy on board telling his wife that it was staged and you had been been waiting there with the fish hooked for their entertainment!
Tim, I watch all of your videos and love them. Why didn't you tell us what lake your on. I'm packing my gear and am going fishing somewhere today just haven't decided which lake. Dale Hollow, Chicamauga, Center Hill or Watts Bar.
We love our champions! Traveling as much as we do, it is really nice to have things under warranty if they break. Im not getting rid of the Champ just time for some tlc. With that said, the new Skeeter is awesome!
It's good to practice on using baits your not confident in so you get better using them. That way you'd have more tools in your arsenal to use if fish aren't apt to biting certain baits or lures. Sadly I never got bites on a Texas rig, a Carolina rig a jerkbait or a niko rig or a square bill or lipless crankbaits. Yes that's alot of lures but it's only my 3rd year back to fishing. I couldn't fish for many years due to circumstances so I'm relearning what I've forgot an learning about newer techniques that are new to me. I'm still learning an working on getting better. I don't want too many lures the list I mentioned is what I'm using. Also last but not least I use jigs an use a bobber a swivel with 30lb 8 inch leed line with a bait holder hook an also occasionally I use a dropshot. To me that's more than enough lures to use.
Ew weee! Yesterday about an hour after sunset I've been fishing for about an hour and a half hadn't had but maybe one nibble I was getting discouraged and I decided to use a Texas rig something reach behind me to my tackle bag on my kayak where I can't really see what I'm grabbing grab two bags put them in my lap and one was a 10" zoom ol monster junebug And the first thing I thought was tactical bassin Matt loves junebug let's give it a shot. I put a quarter ounce weight on it he thought well this will be hung up soon. Third cast thought I was hung up and went to pull it pulled back I set the hook and it spun my damn kayak around like a propeller on top of the water as I tried to land this 5.8 lb bass. My headlamp signed onto its mouth I could see the hook was in the top of its lip (not its mouth) so I spazzed out and just boat flipped it into my lap. First time I used June bug all season and I was like damn I should have listened to them sooner. Ty @taticalbassin
Oh I forgot I also use shaky heads tried the jackall riser no luck yet. I realisized I didn't pop rod tip to get spitting action like a fast swimming minnow so I'll have to reuse that one an fish it right.
For a while my PB largemouth (7-8lb) was on 4lb trilene XL. That was a 5 minute fight though, not a half hour like Tim’s. It’s all about having your drag set correctly.
I was perch fishing a few weeks ago on a small lake in the UP with a spring in it, using a 1/16th oz underspin. Saw a large northern come out of the abyss to hit my lure maybe 10 ft from the boat. Miracle it didn't bite me off. It pretty much went where it wanted... And after about 5 minutes of fighting, it burried itself in the weeds. My 6 lb test couldn't handle it along with the weeds it buried itself in. From the look I got, it was probably pushing 20-25lbs. Makes since since cause we were catching 7-12" perch, so had a easy food source LOL.

Noted!
Impressed with the jighead hook holding up
Congratulations on new vessal!
Nice. Can't wait for the new rig video

Almost looked like a drum and smallmouth mix lol 😂👀
We gonna get a walk through of the new rig Tim?
Hopefully soon! Im not getting rid of the Champion but excited about the new Skeeter
Love all of your guys videos, such an inspiration to the fishing world
Thank you Dakota!
Enjoy the on the water fishing videos you do. Please give us a walk around on your new rig and the reasons for your decision to change.
WOW Tim,what an incredible day,and CONGRATULATIONS on the new rig,I hope to see a walkthrough 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Ken!
I'd love to see a video of you guys fishing in Rock Island, TN in Caney or Collins river.
Gonna need a walkthrough of that beauty of a boat. Congrats!
Thank you Sir!
Fished down there last week and caught lots of spotted bass through the downtown area.

Yes Sir! Got a new Skeeter FXR. Im not getting rid of the Champion but excited about the new boat!
@@tacticalbassin good deal congratulations man.
Thanks Tim. Enjoyed the video!
I noticed you used flourocarbon on the spinning reel in the beginning. When should I use braid vs flouro when using spinning tackle
Man I would’ve been so excited to hook
That drum

Tim that pencil popper, works good for you . I see you catch fish constantly with it .
Hey Tim, give us a walk thru on the new Skeeter.
Great as usual. Not specific to this video, but I would love to see y’all do some specific BFS videos.
Tim hey brother love the channel maybe just put trolling motor on high an 1 cast per spot to see what happens 🤔 😀👍
What happened to your Champion Tim?! Hope we get a tour video of the new boat! Looks nice!
Feel like the movie Jaws😅
Thanks!
Solid comment
That’s chickamauga dam ain’t it?
Nice 👍
nice vid, Tim! No giants (bass that is,lol) but a lot of catches.
Will you do a boat walkthrough of the new boat for us?
Love the fight… caught some 50+inch sturgeon on 4lb ice gear lol 5lb goes a long way
Congratulations on the new rig! Would love to see a walk through of it and see exactly how you got it setup. What did you do with the Champ 210?
A new boat!?? Please tell us about the boat Tim! Is it yours, what’s the scoop!?!?
Do smallmouth crossbreed with drum? I've never seen a smallmouth built like that before lol
Welcome to the Skeeter family! You’re gonna love the ride!
He had a Champion. The ride of a bug sucks compared to what he had, LOL
@@Milehighsnake98 yeah, but they don’t make Champions anymore? 😉
Im keeping the Champion it just needs some tlc. Im really liking the Skeeter!
@@tacticalbassin cool! I kept my Nitro as a backup too!
P.S. I figured you were capable of liking more than one brand! 😉
Great video man. Keep up the work
Appreciate it!
Hey Tim whatcha do with your Champion???

LOL! You know it
What happened to The Champ? Need some more deck space with Skeeter?
Tim, I watch all of your videos and love them. Why didn't you tell us what lake your on. I'm packing my gear and am going fishing somewhere today just haven't decided which lake. Dale Hollow, Chicamauga, Center Hill or Watts Bar.
Thank you and great question! Matt and I hardly ever say where we are fishing strictly out of respect for the local anglers and the fishery.
Uh, that bridge right there in the first few minutes is a dead giveaway which lake he's on, and it's one of the 4 you listed
Tim, what happened to the Champion?
What led to the new rig? Know you guys love your champions.

Why not say which lake you are on? I’m guessing Wheeler or Guntersville.
New rig! You selling the old rig or did you use it as a trade?
The water temp at my lake is still 80deg.
Crazy mines down to 63 got on an amazing crankbait bite yesterday
Can someone link the video of him catching that WORLD RECORD CATFISH on a Neko rig?? I’d love to see that!!

You should do a top fish we didn’t mean to catch montage

more nrx+ 902s videos please
new boat?
What net is that? It doesn't look like the one in the link you have
Sorry you did not catch that monster drum 😉
Hey Tim did you get a new Skeeter?
I did! We put out a video of me picking it up recently on a couple other platforms. Im still keeping the Champion but it needs a little work.
@@tacticalbassin nice I'll have to look for that video welcome to the skeeter family I love mine
Lake hartwell is a herring lake come visit it
great video, when are you and Matt gonna fish together again?
Hopefully soon! Our schedules are pretty opposite right now with his new baby.
Where’s the champion Tim?
First ever recorded catch of the elusive Small Mouth Drum! 😂
LOL!
Whats funny is you had a huge drum on for forever then you catch a smallmouth that had a body that looked just like a drums body lol
Did I hear you say you have a new boat? Tell us about it.
I envy the people you catch huge fish on light line. My question is hooking a 25 lb fish on 5 lb line how does the line not snap like a dried twig 🤔🤔🤔
For a while my PB largemouth (7-8lb) was on 4lb trilene XL. That was a 5 minute fight though, not a half hour like Tim’s. It’s all about having your drag set correctly.
@@Assault0137 I use a bag of and an weight bag to ensure its 2 lbs then I take line with a hook an adjust the drag.
What happened to the Champion?
I still have it. Its in the shop getting some work done
@@tacticalbassin Right on, hope everything gets taken care of , hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving.

Lake chickamauga maybe?

New boat bassmd
Have you guys ever looked into wireless mics so you don't always have to come back to the camera to talk?
We have but dealing with batteries and the random scratching noise when moving is such a pain.
Tim lost the drum so the river gave him a drum shaped sm bass
LOL!
@@tacticalbassin Wow, didn't expect you to see that but, question: do you have any video planned for swimjigs+ different trailer underwater?
Just started the video...that HAS to be a cat at the end of the line, no??
Guess not. Lol. All of that and no fish, bummer!
Look like a drum body smallmouth
