Your "obsession" with military history made me love it, and want to learn more about it, SG. So, please keep your obsession going.

Loved the final anecdote. Having read Gen Panag's writings over the years, it wasn't surprising at all that he did what he did.

Another brilliant episode from Shekhar today, in the true national interest. Though Shekhar repeated mentions the book, he does not get into details about it unlike what he did yesterday. Anyway, anecdotes about 2 PAF PoWs are interesting and heart warming,

25 years of peace? Parliament attack, 26/11. India decided not to go for war. Also this CTC is full of opinion. With a neighbour like Pakistan, india is always at war.

This episode leans more towards a national interest episode than a cut the clutter.. good one though:)

10:52 Sorry but this India-Pakistan equalization and criticism has run its course. Yes, we have our flaws but please, we don’t dream about a ghazwa e hind or any such nonsense.

Shekher ji, why cannot we make movies on our wars, soilders?
We don't know much about 1967, don't know about people trying to flee pow camp, many prameer chakra heros, etc?
And why don't we treat our soilders as human? Why do they have to be like above all human weaknesses?
We see hollywood movie on saving one Provate Ryan?
You can write one war story and make a movie out of it.😊

There is no point basking in past glory. "Aage ki sudhi le". A quick military defeat, loss of lives & territory is entirely possible for agression by China overtly/covertly supported by "neighbours'" and a force weakened by soft denial of weaponry, lack of modern battleground exposure , lack of innovation & integration.
