    Hi! I have been an LVN for 10 years just transitioned into my RN and accepted an ICU nurse internship and really gearing toward CRNA. This sounds challenging but so rewarding! Thanks for your awesome videos!

    I’m at a crossroad between the two programs (NP or CRNA)
    Considering both just in case I don’t start CRNA school on time.. at least I can have my NP while getting everything in place for CRNA school.. what’s your thoughts on that plan ?

    I am 36 years old and I am trying to get into the medical field - first earning a bachelor degree in nursing and then study towards earning a CRNA licensing.. do you think it is possible at this age?

    I’m an ICU nurse. Want to be a CRNA and go into CRNA school. My BSN GPa: 3.06. I’m completing my nurse practitioner program family. CRNA fits my personality and I love it. What are some of your techniques that allowed to transition from NP to CRNA. Does the school board take your masters degree into consideration? What advice do you have? Thank you so much for sharing your experience and important information.

      Thanks for your comment. My transition was good from NP school to CRNA school. I made sure I met all the requirements to become accepted into CRNA school.

    I’m in nursing school I graduate this December. I was thinking CRNA or MD. You just made me think of a whole new plan. Do you still practice both?

    Very informative video. So cool I’m at Nyu Langone on a Contract now. Great hospital to work at. How much of your np credits transferred into the crna program? I know it varies per program but just out of curiosity? Pls and thank you

    Hello,
    Thank you for your videos. Your story is truly inspiring to me. I am currently enrolled in an FNP program and working in a med-surg unit. I am balancing a full-time job with part-time studies. However, I know that next year, my NP program will become more demanding, so I will have to switch to per diem work. I am interested in pursuing a CRNA program, but I currently lack ICU experience. Additionally, I am trying to become pregnant, so I am unsure how busy I will be while transitioning to the ICU and being pregnant. I am conflicted about whether I should gain my ICU experience at the end of my FNP program and then apply to CRNA school or start transitioning to the ICU this summer. Thank you for your time and any guidance you can provide.

    Tnx for the video. I learnt that there are some schools offering dual doctorate degree in CRNA and ACNP. Can one work in both fields? Can one work independently in both fields or open a clinic? Just curious

    • @ThriveCRNA
      @ThriveCRNA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for your comment. ACNP will not be able to work as a CRNA or vice versa. They are different advanced practice nursing degrees, training, and board exams.

    I have an associate degree, wishing to start my 1 year BSN program. I wanted to do crna but seems that I can't go that route because I can't work. Can I go for ICU school before going into nursing practioner?

      I would recommend to apply into a BSN nursing program before you graduate H.S. Focus on planning out your future and have diligence.

    @thriveCRNA I have a offer for Neuro ICU and Cardio thoracic step down unit.... which would transition better for CRNA school.... I was thinking to Neuro ICU then I could transfer to different ICU after a year

    • @MsBeyonce06
      @MsBeyonce06 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mahi9684 its a unit thats a little more advance then med surg but the pts aren't as critical as ICU pts. Usually 4:1 ratio where ICU is usually 2:1 and has more Iv drips like Vasopressors and intense monitoring. Its a higher level of care
