i Played the demo and I can already say that it's one of the BEST things that has happened to me and I Love my Life

I am genuinely excited to see this game get another installment since the GBC days. I still wish that a lot of the main line games would be remastered, tho. I never got to play 8 and i feel like the switch would be perfect for it.

Looks similar to Pokémon but Dragon Quest monster. Pretty awesome. Similar to Dragon Quest 5
And if you don't know about it, this game is a prequel to Dragon Quest 4: Chapters of the Chosen.

Aww prequel? I was hoping it was a sequel. Am thankful for a target offer to maybe try the full game as it is US physical and better than infinity thrash cutscene screenshots lol and it still didnt go on sale.
Some derivative monsters and teleports kinda annoyed me, but I did like how fast the battles were. Just wish I could've manually driven that flower in the water or whatever Psaro was on.
@willsword8100 just get the mobile version when it goes on sale on Christmas. They tend to do that, and it added party chat that is not in ds. Unique to see Torneko flip stuff by overcharging or using the wife's store, and you must sell that statue as you can't do it after chapter 3.
Just remember to maximize your money: when wrapped up (buy tunnel access and wife's shop closes) buy casino tokens that transfer in chapter 4 or buy steel broadswords when he rejoins ch5 as money doesn't transfer, which is dumb). Was nice to get liquid metal armor without gold grinding in that window as well as that falcon blade as casino takes forever and youre locked into a lot of the games double or nothing that need save states.
Merchant mechanics are sadly temporary but the party wagon vs psaro was cool though you need insulatle for latter of 7 forms.

Depending on how well it sells on the Switch they will probably port it like they did with Treasures. I am hoping so anyway as the Dragon Quest Monsters spin off is some of my favorite games. I own both Joker 1 and 2. So this getting a port would be amazing.
Now you know how Switch owners feel when games like Persona 3 Reload aren't on the Switch.
All dragon quest should be on current consoles not just switch why is it always on switch it’s annoying
DQ is very popular in Japan and so is the Switch. Not even Playstation is a major player there anymore. Xbox is barely on the map. I'm just glad this isn't a mobile exclusive.
Keep in mind this could come to PC and other consoles later though.
you're not even realize this the only Dragon Quest Spin Off games that release only for Nintendo console since Game Boy Color era, this is one of the games that back in the day have a couple title that only for Nintendo like GBC, GBA, & Nintendo DS/3DS.. and so far only this games that is literally only on switch which is still possible release on other platform, I mean look at the other Spin off, Dragon Quest Heroes? Dragon Quest Builder? even Dragon Quest Treasure is out on PC too.
Dragon quest monsters game are really more popular in japan than other countries. But ut is still a niche game, imo, so my guess is that the publisher knew how to much it would sale globally. In north america, this series is really not well known. DQ monster joker was a better pokemon game at the time imo. It is a very different of game but still really similar. Back on the ds era, pokemon were still random encounters. In DQMJ, they were 3d monsters on the map, way before pokemon ever did it. You choose which monsters to fight and capture. Many fans of DQ hames fell in love with it at the time, but DQ in north america was still not a great seller. I think the third one never released outside of Japan. Personnally, I’m just glad I can get it. I Just hope it’s not a 100$ game

It's been a long time since us westerners had any Dragon Quest Monsters games. They need to make the extra effort to sell the idea to people who never played the Gameboy or DS games.
I'll wait for the pc version, the switch console was simply not acceptable in terms of performance and visuals
