I think the time complexity should be O(b^(d+1)), for example, if I is my goal node is I or H then no of nodes generated is greater then 9.

Confusing on calculating time complexity O(b^d) . As following your example, G node is present as the right most child of D. Then It takes 12 search but according to formula it should under 3^2 = 9. Please explain. Confused here but rest of part is crystal clear. Thank you :)

Actual time complexity for BFS is b^0 + b^1+....+ b^d. but we just write down O(b^d) as rule of calculating time complexity is we just take in the biggest value as others values are relatively small.
