- hi friends, in this video i have shown how to send SMS using the SIM800L Module.
i have used an arduino to communicate with the SIM800L module
first i have explained the wiring
then i have demonstrated how to give AT commands via the serial monitor
then i have shown how to successfully send a SMS using the module
below are the links for the parts and schematic:

Good video. I have just bought this module and was unaware that the RX pin was not 5v tolerant. As I haven’t got round to hooking up yet, you should e just saved me from blowing my module up!! Thank you and you have gained a new subscriber!!!
I followed your code and your instruction. It does not show the message when I try to text back from my phone to Arduino
Is there any AT command for sending SMS to the SIM address book?
can you create a video tutorial about gsm module sending data to the local host created in xammp ?
hi can i ask, i am from a different country, would our sim card here work with the module or do specifically need that one you used?
Which mobile number we have to write in program the sim which we have inserted in sim chip or different number
Using gsm module 800l make relay control on sms or by call through mobile device
God video !, but one question, Do you need a specific library to use this module with Arduino?
sir I need an only automatic call lifting GSM module AT command .without microprocessor
Is the working with camera.
Thank you so much
Sir can I connect tx rx pin with arduino tx rx pin directly without registor ?? ...if no then what I connect them directly
Which Sim Card Are you Using?
Does the sim service require service provider recharge
Is this module good enough for location tracking? I currently have ESP32 WROOM and Quectel L80RE
I would not use it for anything now that 2G is getting phased out, it doesn't work in many countries anymore. Many 4G nodules have built in gps, you might want to look at those. The sim7080g is good and works worldwide.
U have just saved my module otherwise i would have damaged it! Thanks man!!!🫡🫡🫡🫡
if i use esp32, is the program code the same?
My SIM800L is always uneven in the breadboard? The pins can never be straight for some reason
Can you provide video and sketch on how fm works in this module?
Interesting video ! Great job ! Well done, even the background music is nice.
Thank you very much!
Hello.. my sim800l module is not responding to AT command
Where the 5V comes from. Please give us this code
How to send message using visual module and sim800L?
Is it possible to supply it with mini solar panel and 18650 batteries? Cause as you mentioned they require 2 Amp current at peak transmission. Thanks in advance.
Can we use 4g sim? And jio sim?
Which software you use for making such wiring diagrams like a time 1:23
Proteus
Fritzin
tinkercad
great
why are the battery specification that you said verbally don't match with the battery that you used. Like you said to use 2A current but you are using only 1100mAh which is 1.1A @ 3.7V?
the battery used is a lipo battery, it can discharge 5-10 times the rated capacity at a given time
@@SuperbTech thank you very much😄, also do you know any other sims apart from airtel that i can use in the sim800l.
Finally, an Indian on youtube has made a good tutorial.
This module is 2g based so this works with 4g sim card irs works or not??
If the 4G SIM card of your cellular service provider still has 2G network, then yes. In many countries, 2G has been retired, but in some countries, decision was made to retain 2G as 'backup' but instead 3G is retired.
In my opinion, getting a LTE Cat 1 may be better. i still like my SIM800 though, it is cute. But i find that in places with poor cell signal, the current drawn can be quite high to the point that it causes brown-out.
Are you available to resolve SIM808 issue?
No 😂
Is it possible to use sim800 module without arduino?
Yes you could use a variety of different micro controllers
You used 4g sim, but people say only 2g sim compatible, please help
Yeah I too have same doubt
Is this module works with 4g sim card
Yes or no ?
hi I hope you are fine that one is great effort but my gsm is not work properly is ehich i get the output on serail monitor is the intializing ....
this is the only word which i see on the serail monitor please help me and tell me why this is happen and if some one knows the solution let me know I am very disappoint thanks waiting for your precious words and time thanks
Did you get its solution? I am also stuck in it.
Is your problem solved?
Tell
Using Airtel sim. But led keeps on blinking every 1 seconds. Plz help me.
use proper wire,5v separate battery
Can is use 4g sim?
no, SIM800L is based on GPRS which is a 2G technology. it cannot support 3G or 4G SIM Cards
@@SuperbTech lol
But you have used Airtel 4g sim right?
Is this a 2g module?
yes
@@SuperbTechDoes it work with 4g sim cards, as you have used 4g sim in tutorial video.
Does it work with 4g card or not
@@charlesaustin9129 I guess all sim cards are backward compatible, meaning they automatically selecte the 2g network. In india all simcard are provided like this.
My dad has 4g sim but uses a 2g phone.
Just check with your telecom operators first in your country. In Turkey 2g is completely phased out.
can i use 4g sim
in this recommended module
Same doubt, did you tried it.
i think other than jio 4g sim can be used
Sim 800L is not sending back AT in serial monitor
same problem.....how u fixed it?
@@SouravPramanik-yo9pt select carriage return option on the serial monitor.
You show your phone number at 3:22
He shows his number all over the place
Stuck at Initializing
Check if your carrier/provider/country still support 2g.
Sir can I contact u
