@FrictionSciencen Cheating...moreless. You need 4 logs to pack one delivery anyway. I did this on one of American map where you have 2 mills next to each other. 16 medium logs unpacked, but because excessive logs are destroyed on packing you have to unload them first, then pack, then load 4 back, pack, and so on. Even if 16 logs makes you almost full, its still lighter than one packed cargo. But carrying heavy cargos is what this game is about.
1. I think loading your truck with logs are really important part of the game. When you drive heavy loaded machine it's totally different experience. And it makes fun playing this game. Because ez road turns to be barely passable, river crossing - impossible. Etc. 2. Never understood playing this game in arcade mode. Simulator (hardcore in English version?) is not difficult, but much more interesting. Night driving is a good part of game and interesting experience as well. Don't loose it!! 3. Even if you're saying this is tips video, I think the best part of this game is learning how to play it. Noobs should not watch this video!!! It's fun to get all this tips from your own gaming experience. PS: you have a great channel. Good luck! Look forward seeing new videos!
By that logic it is completely ok that you glitch yourself through the map and get into a position where you can kill anyone through the map but anyone else cant do anything to you, this is but one form of abusing game mechanics. Just cause there are things in the game that breaks the gameplay does not mean that using them is acceptable, in the funniest scenario you get banned for abusing the game mechanics to your advantage.
I would have thought dropping your load was a noob thing to do, because a pro would know how to climb the muddy hill with a heavily loaded truck. Good video though definitely liked it.
think i will tell my new boss tommorow, that i can save him loads of fuel, when he ask i will tell i just drop the load half way thus i will be faster and more economical, my new boss is going to reward me with Employee of the Month for this, yes thank you!
Pro would keep "Pro" & "Noob" on one side of the screen. Noob will throw both "Noob" and "Pro" on either side of the screen whenever the fuck he wants.
SD1ONE This game is basically a sandbox so everybody can play however he/she wants. I am just saying that if you already challenge yourself with hauling heavy load throu difficult terrain the whole point is drive without stucking :). Using using this trick as last hope sulution is OK. But saying that pro/ambitious driver shoud use it on regular basis is NO NO :-P P.S Is new DLC medium load trailer compatible only with new truck ? If yes then is a bit sad as I don't really like this new truck. Or maybe there is mod which makes it avaliable for other trucks?
@@MichalPaziothis game is about delievering logs if you drop them why tf are you playing? You have a winch you have 1 with 3 mods you have 1+ i am sure you can do the objectives with logs because the objective is to carry logs
There is a difference between being smart and abusing game mechanics. In my own opinion, this could be done differently like : ''Tips for beginners in ST Mudrunner'' or something like that, but keep uploading, you are still getting better and better!
Jadzim27 I think dropping load on purpose is some sort of cheating. I have more than 100 hours in both original Spintires and MudRunner and never even realised this could be done.
You forgot something in regards of terrain gradient: - Noob will rush straight on an inclanation and may tip over - Pro will try to avoid inclanations and if he can't, he'll use the winch and/or the crane to stabilize the truck
I just bought this game and I gotta say it's pretty realistic. Having experience with trucks in real life kind of gives you a better perspective on situations in the game. Like I said the trucks drive pretty damn real, the whole simulation in the mud everything. Very cool, fun, challenging and strategic game.
+ SD1ONE Yes, I understand that, but I suppose if you load the truck with lumber, you want to climb the hill, to reach your destination in order to unload there. So what's the point of climbing the steep hill with empty truck and reaching the destination without the lumber?
+SD1ONE That makes sense I think, especially if you are closer to the Lumber, and is faster to go back and load it again than to reach the loaded car in trouble with another one in order to help him out. Thanks your answers!
Actually point #4 "handling load" is not true. I like the challenge from the extra weight and I believe this is the way it's meant to be played. Dropping the load feels like cheating to me.
About droping the load to save the fuel, it is not about being PRO as much more about exploiting game mechanics (dropped load is only three logs, not a full cargo). Actually the one who does NOT drop the cargo is the PRO here, since he overcomes terrain with proper load as intended.
Actually this video was like a part 2 to ur tips and tricks video, becz it teaches players more fundamentals of the game so they can improve their game, such as using anchors while using crane, not using awd and diff lock on road etc.
Another fun tip: You can recognise a pro by the stars on the side, precisely if he got a red one, which means he managed to do the map on the hard difficulty with a 1 star vehicule only.
"Pro know when to drop load on purpose." THAT's a thing? I always did the challenge of having it loaded and not unloading it all the way to the destination, thinking unloading meant losing the lumber...
Let's start with the fact that noob will play on casual mode, while a pro will use hardcore mode instead... On a side note... If you're using a wheel with a shifter, then you can use whichever gear you want and you do not take any damage from using the diff locks... Also with all fo the 8x8s you can use the 1st basically only to start, and then just keep it in 3rd all the time and it will not stall, but it will use more fuel. Also a funny fact is that if you rev the truck in gear with clutch pressed down it will use fuel, while reving it in neutral will not.
Yup :D Also the fun fact is that you can win any drag race with using a proper manual instead of this weird mouse operated crap for keyboard and controller users :D
This is not a competitive game, so "pro" and "noob" are useless words here. There are beginners, who turn into pros after 80-100 hours of gameplay. You don't need a special magic ability to play an offroad simulator. I know a better title for your video: usefull tips for beginners. People playing too much esport and the whole world turns into a versus mode in their brains. What's next, pro and noob in The Sims? Noob lets the junk rotten, while pro keeps the bin empty. Lol.
First yes you do have tips you can follow on Sims to have desirable outcomes and you can tell those who play it less often. Plus it's a life simulator it's not supposed to get better at it. The purpose of the game is that, having a fate. So next time stay on point or learn your shit. Second the terms pros and noobs don't only apply to pvps. There are efficient ways to play a game. When you don't know, follow or care about that then you re the noon, the one who's starting to get good or doesn't want to. A pro will be someone who does it by the book and in the most efficient way possible. These terms existed way long before exports buddy. The purpose of the video as stated above flew right over you
Also isn't that standard to even competitive games? Well duh you need hours of practice wow. I don't play this game but I'm assuming the methodology is the same as Arma: based on knowledge rather than mechanics and tendencies
Tiago Silva No self-awareness whatsoever. You're exactly what the OP was talking about lol. Everything is competition for you. While yes, you can do stuff more efficiently or less, what's more important is if you're having fun while doing it, even if you fail miserably in the process. You may beat the game in the most efficient way possible, but so what? Who cares? Then there is a guy who doesn't give a crap about all that, plays it terribly but enjoys the game way more than you do. Who's the loser?
To sum this very well put together video for all you noobs out there. Don't rush, always use the tools provided, make ur turns wide. And you'll be a pro in no time :).
Scouting with big rig is more rational. 1st, the tank is always big enough (unless you play on custom map) and offroad ability is better due to better torque for muddy roads (like in The Bog), better wading depth, better ground clearence (doesn't necesserily apply to Humvee), etc. 2nd, you have to unlock the garage anyways and why don't combine those actions? Watchpoints are usually located not far from the roads, you can just park a trailer, check the spot and go on
Please keep the tips and tricks videos coming! Too many people on multiplayer are noobs its so frustrating! Most of the time on multiplayer i end up completing the map by myself lol

Nice work bro, hopefully there's still noobs playing multiplayer after this video . They're constant source of amusement and it's fun to rescue them and help them reach their destination. Though there is no helping some people.
I’m going to get mud runner soon and I learned all this stuff already from a fantastic mobile game called RTHD which i highly recommend for anyone if they want a mobile spin tire/mudrunner etc game
I always play in hardore mode, rarely use auto gear and seeing your video I realize first time I can release the longs to low weight in the trailer... In my opinion, doing this "trick" its shameful for a "pro player", removes the meaning of the simulation. Cool video BTW.
You don't even have to use all wheels even a bit, slow throttle/crawling gear usually does the job very well. Remember, when stuck don't fully accelerate and press the gas just a bit
6:12, a pro player will use pull mode to tow truck out of water, but if the towed truck is too heavy, the towing truck is not heavy enough to finish the rescue, a pro will change to drive mode when the towed truck's engine out of water, that will make the rescuing easier and faster.
This game is impressively realistic. If you have minimal knowledge of driving off-road you should definitely use this video for instructional purposes.
I've logged over 200 hours, have played every map on the 1st two games multiple times, have even stopped hitting cloaking tornados to open up the map, choosing instead to draw my own maps by literally driving the roads, I consider myself a Pro, but have never had a need to use the manual trans over auto, hardcore can be fun but spend most of my time in casual, and have never dropped a load only to re-assemble on the other side of an obstacle.
I only have 6 hours in this game and just being around family who uses heavy equipment I did most pro moves in this game without even knowing. Accept dropping load and skip night. Screw that! Know the terrain and feather the throttle. Might take longer to get to the goal but still faster then 4 trips v.s 2
3:06, for pro, not only useless vehicle, those sit in unlocked garage with no more than 200L fuel, sitting in fuel station, or no fuel can also used for night skip. 4:46, Winch hauling, I think there is also a pro vs noob. When 2 trucks go through bad road, we will use winch to tow the second truck, with drive mode. When the first truck get stuck, and the second truck not, it will push the first truck, then first truck unstuck, it will tow the second truck. So two trucks winched together will make muddy traveling faster. A pro will let the winch rope as short as possible, to prevent the second truck from hitting the first truck's tail too hard cause damage.
At the Moving in Mud scene 0:36, It says that pro will move front wheels but it actually goes in a straight line while the noob is zigzagging whilst rushing
Oh and sometimes going through the deep water faster is safer because if there is no other path than you just have to go straight as fast as possible. And true noob would probably try to back up in panic
Hey bud. I found another detail in this game. When u're shifting gear while driving in first person camera u can see only one Bobs hand cuz he's using his second hand for shifting.
Why does everyone say "Pro"? A professional is someone who gets paid for doing something. It doesn't mean you are good at it. I know lots of pros that are idiots and incapable. The word you all should be using is "expert". HUGE difference in skill.
I wish pro could stay to the left side of the screen, and noob to the right.... or should i make a video about noobs editing vs pro editing?

SD1ONE thats ok :3
Pro content creators who makes comparison videos keep the things compared on the same side throughout the video.

Why does everyone say "Pro"? A professional is someone who gets paid for doing something. It doesn't mean you are good at it. I know lots of pros that are idiots and incapable. The word you all should be using is "expert". HUGE difference in skill.
