- Welcome to Registrar Sessions, where registrars from around the world share cases.
This week we hear from Dr Eduardo Gomez. He shares a case of a focal brain lesion. Please share any positive comment you have below for Dr Gomez.
After his presentation I will share a six part checklist for approaching focal brain lesions.
I hope you enjoy this style of video. Would love to hear your feedback.
If you have a case to share, let me know via email - michaelradiologytutorials@gmail.com

Not sure if the question banks are for you?
If you're here, you're likely studying for a radiology physics exam. I've spent the last few months collating past papers from multiple different countries selecting the most commonly asked questions. You'll be surprised how often questions repeat themselves!
The types of questions asked in FRCR, RANZCR AIT, ARRT, FC Rad Diag (SA), ABR qualifying Core Physics and MICR part 1 are surprisingly similar and the key concepts remain the same throughout. I've taken the most high-yield questions and answered them in video format so that I can take you through why certain answers are correct and others are not.
Happy studying,
Michael

Thank you
This was so cool and helpful! Thanks you so much for sharing! My mom just got diagnosed with brain tumor and this helped us understand the process a lot better! Thank you!
I'm so glad it was useful - all the best to your mom
nice cases, very nice please continue
Thank you 🙏🏻
Why can't it be any cortical based lesion with a solid cystic component - eg. Ganglioglioma/DNET/pilocytic astroctyoma
These are excellent suggestions. To be honest, when I first saw the case these were my top 3 differentials especially with the cystic component. What makes them less likely in this case is the amount of oedema (ganglioglioma very rarely has much vasogenic oedema, and also uncommon in DNET). Perhaps most important is the age of the patient (60 years old) - these differentials favour second and third decades.
Glioblastoma appearance is variable but all the imaging features here fit. The age is more appropriate and prevalence is much higher.
Obviously, can only be certain after tissue diagnosis.
That was BRILLIANT ❤
Dr Gomez brought an excellent case 🙌🏼
@@radiologytutorials the explanation was amazing! The 6 step map approach.
@@radiologytutorials please make a video for stroke protocols and haemorrhages!!
❤
🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
🖤🖤
Can i request for spine radiology lectures? Thank you
Do not forget fluoro and MRi physics pleaseeeeee……. I hope to watch asap
I won’t. Just need the week to get the outline together and start making slides 🙂
Again - build it, and they will come
Thank you Jacques. Can’t tell you how much motivation it gave me the first time you said this. Keep using it as my mantra 🙏🏻
When is MRI module? ❤I hope i can watch it before my board examination
Yeah waiting…..
Only finished ultrasound on Friday! Need a week at the minimum to get the slides together. Can’t be rushed unfortunately. Trust me I’m working flat out in the background to get those talks out ❤️
@@radiologytutorials it’s ok 👍 no worries. But it would be of great help if you could highlight some important topics that no resident should miss for FRCR 1. And thank you so much 😊. God bless you
@@radiologytutorials okay sir, looking forward to it:)
