  • Skating the Remz HR2.5 for the first time.
    Thank you Anthony for letting me use your REMZ! - IG - @Roces_Boy
    Go check out ‪@flyingonblades‬
    Meet the long awaited new Remz weapon, the HR 2.5 White.
    It features plastic reinforced soft panels for a more resilient skin and no ‘soft spots’, a redesigned liner engineered for less bulk and more support + comfort, Remz customizable V-cut/Flat-cut cuff, strong ankle straps also compatible with standard buckles, Featherlite3 GC frames, top shelf 57/GC wheels, and Remz solid one piece replaceable soul frame.
    Product oriented since day one, the Remz Brand closely follows feedback and cuts no corners in bringing you the finest skates, constantly innovating and upgrading its proven interdependent soft/hard formula for the unique remz “freedom-of-feet” support/flex combination. This new HR2.5W stays true to the brand roots while being packed with tasty goodies and a fresh new update for 2021.
    Features:
    New “High Resilience" design
    Original Remz freedom-of-feet concept
    Unique hybrid hard/soft boot technology
    New ergonomic supportive Remz liner ft/ Neoprene toe box
    High impact shock absorber
    One piece Soul Frame
    Ground Control FLT 3 frame
    57mm GC wheels
    Abec 7 bearings
    42 mm anti-rocker wheels
    The new Remz HR2.5 White features a fresh streamlined design, an all new liner, new reinforced patterns, and a new ankle strap system. Its new internal pattern composition allows optimal use of shell space inside the Remz, this allows for a closer-to-the-foot sizing and at the same time more toe room, while also cutting down some weight. The High Resilience construction on the HR2.5 has been reworked to fix “soft spots” issues experienced on previous skin models and improve overall support and stability on landings. This new HR also features a new remz “wide-strap” (also compatible with buckles) allowing for a slim look while not compromising ankle support. The solid Remz one piece soul frame offers a smooth grind and as always with the renowned classic Remz models, skin and plastic components are connected together to provide the one of a kind Remz “freedom-of-feet” support/flex combination flowing from the brand’s long line of proven and innovative ideas.
    The HR2.5 comes fully loaded with Ground Control FeatherLite 3 frames and GC 57mm wheels w/ anti-rocker setup.

    Your feet bowed out on the OS and older Remz because they frame used to be off center to allow for larger positive soul space. I believe it was in 2015 that Remz dropped the first skates with “True Balance”, which is their fancy way of saying “we finally centered the frame”

    Oh nice, the skates that got me back after a near 20 year hiatus. I swapped out the liner for Intuition premium, 50/50 wheels and new bearings, and some waxed laces. I really enjoy them. The break in is real, but once the leather softens up, they fit like a glove. Love the look, love the “Steeze style” that comes with the flex, and the fact that they don’t look like every other pair of skates. I just wish Kato was more involved with the community😔

      I was just thinking how weird it is that Remz fizzled during this huge aggressive inline revival. While other skate brands are just starting up and have good presences Remz has been nonexistent on social media or online and shut down.

    I've never skated HR's but it looks like they have more traditional liners now. The liners used to be completely neoprene all the way around. Also, those need to be V-Cut.

    • @iRollerboot
      @iRollerboot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wouldn’t v-cutting increase flex?

    • @POWERUPGAMING
      @POWERUPGAMING 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iRollerboot In my experience, it only allows you to flex your foot down (like pointing your toe). Everything else stays the same. I enjoy it and its works for me since my foot is the perfect size in the shell, I don't get heal lift. I know others don't like it. But to each their own.

    Interesting review, it sounds very similar to how I felt skating my friends pair of 04 LE's. I was hoping maybe the newer ones wouldn't be as "wobbly" but I guess perhaps that flex is one of their selling points.

    • @iRollerboot
      @iRollerboot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm. I’ll have to give it some thought. My first notion is that some piece of the puzzle may be missing-having topsides DOWN on ledges beforehand, being able to already grind coping very effectively(not topside), being very comfortable turning and carving both ways on transitions. To me, if one of those is out of wack, I think it would give me trouble. I could be all wrong though.

    Yes the Remz OS1 had MAD supination. Remz are torture… I can only skate them for like 2 hours but during that 2 hours I would SLAY any obstacle. They always felt like shit but I couldn’t argue with the actual results. I was never better than I was with my different pairs of Remz.
    Can you try them cuffless? It’s a crime to skate them with cuffs. I think the cuff also prevents the skin from being tightened properly.
    P.S. thanks for the shout out as always. 😁

      Thank you! Good question. It honestly depends on what your safety tricks are right now. Some people go straight to TTP … and I still struggle with those. If I had to pick one I’d say true top soyale- you can use your strong backslide foot as a solid foundation while you work to get your topside foot dialed in.
