So glad Amihere is starting to put it all together. This team is special.
According to ESPNStatsInfo, Aliyah Boston is the first D-I player over the last 20 seasons to average 25 PPG, 15 RPG on 90% shooting over a 2-game span.
LA is REALLY special! I forget she had two major injuries but I also was reminded by this game she was the #1 player at one point. What can you say about Boston? The best center in the country the last three years is remarkable.
LA's versatility is not just a plus for the team but also a boon for her draft prospects.
Last week, in two games, Aliyah Boston scored 50 pts, shooting 22/24 on FG, including a 13/13 performance where she scored 29 pts. She also had 31 rebounds and 7 blocks in that span and earned National POTW honors by ESPN.

Best game I've seen LA play. It makes me believe she's kind of out of position at the post. She's a FAR better PG than a F, IMO.
Agreed. Like Dawn said in the presser, her staff (and me!) didn't think so! Best interior passer on the team!
@@walterrhett Hey, you can add me to the list along with you and the staff among those who didn't think LA had it in her. I'm thrilled to be wrong. One of the things I think I picked up was her traveling and T/O problems occurred almost invariably when she received the ball in the paint. I also think, in the past, she was being asked to score in the paint--expected to score down there while going against other bigs. Given the chance to not have to play against other post up players, she was able to draw the interior defenders and then dump it off to Aliyah or Kamila or Vicky. I've been down on LA most of the last 2+ years, but I'm a fair person, and am happy to give props when they're due, and boy were they do for her in this game.
@@ArtofFreeSpeech she's always been talented u need to look at her high school games on TH-cam from Canada she can do it all she can even dunk with ease I'm not surprised at all heck she played on the Canadian national team in the olympics sos shes went up against pros
@@anthonytaylor7928 Yeah, I'm aware of all of that (I'm the kind of dude who can tell you which commits we have coming at all times, which transfers are coming, etc... I follow our ladies VERY closely and have ever since Dawn got here). As pointed out already, however, even Dawn's STAFF didn't think she could play the point. So, if you're not surprised, you're among a very select group, and maybe you ought to be a college recruiting scout, since the overwhelming vast majority of everyone else didn't see it, and every last one of us watched her HS scouting tape, all her games at USC, and her olympic tape.
At the next level she would be more of a SF and play alot on the wing. Think Dewanna Bonner with not as slight of frame. She would only play in the post on mismatches and play PF in spot minutes.
