I made western shirts back in the day😅 and the little tool to put the snaps on was ridiculous. This looks so fast and easy I guess I can consider using snaps again. Thank you

Congratulations! Your little one will be well dressed. I just made that romper for my new grandson and used the hand held snap press. It was my first time using Kam Snaps. I like the look of the metal rings better for the crotch area. Can I use the same press for both plastic and metal snaps/rings? I'd also like to know how to do grommets. Thank you.
Hey Cathyann, thanks for commenting!! As far as the ring snaps, it depends on which handheld press you have. There is one press that is ONLY for plastic snaps, but there's another option that allows you to change out the adapters/dies in order to use with ring snaps! (The one you with changeable dies is here: kamsnaps.com/collections/kam-press/products/snaps-rivets-grommets-hand-press?variant=19773663182945 ) Hope that helps!!

I noticed that you do not have snaps on the cuffs of the romper. Does that leave enough room to change baby? Thank you. I am about to make the romper and am deciding which way to go.

I have a handheld one and it breaks the plastic post one the snaps and they are NOT easy to use . I was not impressed with it at all. I did the research and it seems it is a very common problem. Have you ever used a handheld one ?? I’m interested making baby clothes with the snaps but am VERY cautious about purchasing another press from them
Hi Jen! I'm sorry to hear that your plastic snaps are breaking, are you using the KAM pliers? If you are interested in snaps, I might recommend getting a mini table press or a stand up press (the stand up is what I use in the video) as it gives you a bit more control over the pressure! They do require the dies that match the snaps you're using, but you could go with dies for the metal ring snaps instead, if you prefer something other than plastic snaps! Hope that helps!
