For blast weapons, since he declared everything into the guardsmen; even tho a few died before the mortar fired he still gets the extra blast shots based on the number of models when he declared his shots.
This old beard shed a single tear for those Vanquishers felling the Emperors enemies as they should! Really enjoyed seeing the Hellhounds blazing away aswell, it's too rare to see them. Straken once again grows his legend, but I fear if this keeps up he might fly too close to the sun and face the mighty nerf hammer.
Such a fun game to watch. Definitely as a DG player this game reinforces that the best status condition is ‘dead’ .. which means that -1 save is just almost always the choice for me.
I ran 8 mortars last week with 2 in the command squad and then 2 units close by. I really enjoyed it for the cost as they helped screen out my back field and did work on anything T 4 or less. Once those were all gone they chipped a couple wounds off of the bigger stuff with all lethal hits. Nothing that turned the entire battle but for 120 points, they did work

In addition, each time a model in that unit makes an attack, a Critical Hit is scored on an unmodified Hit roll of 5+, instead of only a 6.” So all your weapons gain lethal AND you crit on 5+ for everything. In 10th edition a critical hit is a critical hit, it is not tied to any particular ability.
Yeh i read that as if this weapon has lethal hits then crit on 5+ so I definitely skim read that bit and got it really wrong meaning I might have been able to wipe those guardsmen. Thanks and cant wait to play my next game and use this right for even more disgusting damage lol

So after this game and the great love for hellhounds would you consider taking one of them with a chem cannon for the anti infantry 2+ I used one against custodies last week and it was great, especially in overwatch

Max mortars you can take in 10th is 18 (within reason) 9 in 3 infantry platoons another 9 for heavy weapons teams. Half can easily get take aim and screen back field.
At around the 44 min mark you rolled for the number of shots for the mortars on the left side of the board. You said thirteen but i am fairly certain you rolled 14. Its all coulda woulda shoulda at this point but it would be interesting if that would have caused the last wound off of the bloat drone.

to be fair, Miphiston is useless because he can't attach to anything worthwhile and his damage being D3 is a huge risk aswell. Dude is my fav character and the reason i got into the game at all, and his rules is super hindered.

The ogryn were targeted down really fast, but I think its telling that they practically made their points back in kills in ONE phase.

Quite a few mistakes from the DG player and he's wrong about the Biologus. It does critical hits on 5s, which then means you get exploding hits on 5s.
