This video provides a detailed and fascinating look at the pickle-making process in a factory. Viewers are taken through each step, from selecting and preparing the ingredients to the pickling and packaging stages. The video highlights the precision and efficiency of modern technology in ensuring consistent quality and flavor in every jar of pickles. With close-up shots and clear explanations, the video gives viewers a better understanding of what happens behind the scenes at a pickle factory, from choosing the best cucumbers to turning them into the crunchy, delicious pickles we all love. In the pickle production process, what is the most crucial factor in ensuring that pickles remain crisp and flavorful, and are there any secret techniques that producers use that most people aren’t aware of?
The people that create these systems that bring us food consistently, easily, and affordably deserve to be rich. I just picked up 2 1qt glass jars of delicious baby dill pickles at costco for 6$ in 2023… even with recent inflation, at no other time in history has this been possible. Its crazy to think that in other non industrialized countries people are starving due to a lack of innovation, corruption, and laziness. I pray for Africa and parts of the middle east and south america
really loved the insight into pickle production, super interesting! but honestly, i’ve always been curious - do pickles really taste better when they're homemade? i feel like there's something special about that personal touch that factories can’t replicate, what do you all think?

@@yettimannettii2039 I worked at Paramount in the 1980's as a teenager through a temp service. Did everything from kicking pickles out of the back of trucks into the vats, to fishing rats out of them. Good times!
I love Kosher Dill pickles. I love the baby pickles as well as the larger ones. When I eat them, one is not enough. I often wonder why pickles are not made with full size cucumbers. Maybe companies assume they are too big to bite into.
The small one are used for pickles, I grew the bigger one and when I was looking up the recipe the woman said the small ones are better for pickles, so next time God's willing I will try and grow both, growing your own taste so much better, my friend said this is the best cucumber she ever ate

Does anyone know why Vlasic is now selling 16 oz of Polish dill spears in a 24 oz jar ??? The first thing I do when I open a bottle of spears is to put them in a much more narrow 16 oz jar. I have noticed recently that when I do this now, there are no extra pickles left over in the larger jar. Why are they still selling these pickles in a much larger jar than they need ? I don't need all this extra pickle juice. The jar is literally 50% bigger than it needs to be and is also annoying to try and fit in our refrigerator door. WRZ 2021-08-08
Someone else raised an issue I hadn't thought about until today. The Vlasic label continues to list these pickles as "24 Fluid ounces" as they always have, which is very deceptive. So it's impossible for consumers to know they have greatly decreased the contents of these jars by just looking at the label. Only someone like me who has been consistently putting the contents into a 16 oz condiments jar would notice. Most of the time, when the contents of a package is decreased that is usually reflected on the label but Vlasic doesn't bother to do that. WRZ 2021-08-09
Why did Vlasic quit making the Zesty Dill whole pickles ? That was the best tasting pickles Ive ever had ! I know I cant find them anymore in my stores. Thats in Florida.
@@kevinferguson3519 Yeah I forgot to explain that I do this to fit the smaller bottle into the door of our refrigerator and then I always left the rest of the pickles in the original jar in our basement refrigerator. But now there are no extra pickles left in the larger jar.
@@Amarmi579 i can also recommend cream cheese. For me, anything that's even slightly creamy and contains oil/fat and flavour works well with pickles and crispy cucumbers
But you can't beat homemade pickled with horseradish, garlic and dill and only salt and water no vinegar, the vinegar can take the enamel of your teeth.

So do they start out as regular cucumber size and shrink to small size once they pickle?
Once they get cold, they shrink.
