Ric WOOOOO Flair is in this game? I'm sold. They have a few big name actors in this to be honest. Malcolm Macdowell, Takei, Atkinson, Flair are a few know off of name. The one I don't is Binghams actor. I know him from Bond and Pirates of the Caribbean though.
0:42 Yeah... double-barrel tanks. That's it. That's the extent of the fantastical elements in Red Alert 1. That game was pretty damn serious other than that. And those cut scenes didn't fuck around. I mean if you played the Soviets, you knew you were backing Stalin and gassing civilians en masse.
The first two were not wacky at all. The only thing wacky was the silly timelines. I am not huge fan on what they did with RA3. However, I am really waiting for c&c 4 and see how the no bsae thing does for the "last installment" of the Tiberium Wars saga and the death of Kane. Malcolm McDowell was great and honest in the interview. I was surprised with all the off key acting that McDowell and Ric Flair ranked tops in this new expansion! WTG gentlemen.
Too bad that RTA genre is now dead. I bet remaining gamers of this game were those who are loyal to the Red Alert franchise. And EA basically murdered the success of RA2 by changing the gameplay options and replacing the “special weapon” unique to each country. ALTHOUGH, should a kickststarter or preorder for RA4 come in the distant future - I bet many CC fans will support it.
Westwood Studios had no intentions of the Red Alert series having a 'silly' feel to it.. EA Pricks. I have a few more series I really like, care to ruin them as well?
@Colinrose777 for RA2 the allies was serious but for the soviet i had to laugh at every scene beside the ones when yuri was giving command. This ya..... lol personally i find RA easier to relate to and follow while TS was much better story, C&C 3 was good but they totally kill the series with TW... that was BS story they kill Kane basically in TW and Kane is C&C... by completely destorying this character they destory the game.
Llynethil even Red Alert 1 had its goofy moments. Like Stavros going “heh!” in a triumphantly cheerful way after brutally murdering Stalin, “how shall we say, throw them a bone?”, or when Stalin said “tea? Why not? Heh heh heh, when in Rome!”

If they didn't remove the ore harvesting in the fields like in Red Alert 1 and Red Alert 2, it would have been much better.
At 0:11 I burst out laughing because all the loyal Red Alert fans are still playing RA2.
To be honest I really didn't have a problem with RA3. Sure it was RA2 but at least it understood that the series was a bit bonkers and played on that.
