Lovely playing! I'm probably a bit biased but I prefer the Hluru Tree of Life myself. Probably because I bought that one! But I'd tried the Seeds before and it just didn't have the depth of sound or clarity of the Hluru.
It's great to hear that you love the Hluru Tree of Life! I agree, Seeds sounds a bit more mellow and Hluru s crisper and louder. Every kalimba has its unique charm, and it's awesome that you've found one that resonates with you. 🌟🎶
Thank you, Noon! I’ll make more unboxing videos in the coming days so will try to compare other two-layer kalimbas including Chill Angels and Poopoopidoo ❤
It doesn't seem to resonate as long as my Chill 34 flat. That's a good thing. The Chill sustain goes on forever. Great for playing ethereal music or Carol of the Bells, but entirely too much for playing current music, jazz or African. So I'm looking for one with less of a sustain.
That’s true, Chill Angels (especially the sapele kind) has gorgeous sustain but can go on a bit too long and potentially create dissonance like you said. Hluru also has long sustain but not as much. Seeds has the shortest of these 3.
Thanks for watching! Hluru 34k is louder and crisper than Seeds 34k - they're suitable for different types of songs I feel. Hluru is better for more sentimental melodies and Seeds is perfect for melancholic tunes, just my impression 🙂
@Nclght Seeds has the least sustain out of all these double layer kalimbas, I think. But it’s still longer than regular 17/21-key kalimbas because of the metal bracket (instead of wooden backstop).
For Seeds yes it’s possible (although the length would be a bit awkward to play, that’s why I bent my bass notes), but for Hluru I’m not sure… I’ll have to try it sometime! Some people have used Chill Angels’ layout for Hluru but they had to get a 21-key set from LingTing to do it because some tines are not long enough.
@@Kalimbisteto I think the #4 tine in the Hluru might not be long enough to be retuned to #2. Thanks for the info! I will probably go for a Chill Angels instead.
To me the Hluru sounds and looks more magical and mysterious. I also like the B tuning very much. Here is a song I play on the Hluru. By the way I am a small and slim person with small and slim hands 😊and I get along quite well with the Hluru. th-cam.com/video/Af0tmKBI7Ak/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for sharing your experience and your performance! That’s good to know for people with smaller hands 😊 indeed, the key of B sounds so deep and meditational!

謝謝你彈If by Bread.
Another great kalimba unboxing and I love this sound of the Kalimba my friend. 6:06 full watched as always.
Thank you so much for watching the kalimba unboxing video! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the sound of the kalimba. Your support means a lot to me!
so lovely and pleasant to my ears...thank you for sharing
Lulu is a 34 key model. The cool and clear sound gives a deep afterglow. The performance is so beautiful♡
Thank you! Yes, I love Hluru’s sound but I’d like to change its upper layer tuning, maybe I’ll try Chill Angels’ arrangement with LingTing keys 😊

Good morning 💖 Music and cat 😍
Hello 😊 glad you liked my music and cat ❤
That's highly brilliant 💖♥️💖
Thanks 😊
So nicely played. A comparison with Chill Angels would be nice too >_< : )

@@Kalimbisteto Ordering a Seeds. You're fantastic!
Open the box of Hluru 34 keys and drop your soul into the great music. Thanks
Thank you 😊 it’s a great instrument!
Although I do not own a Seeds and I only play a 21 Hluru, to my ears, the Hluru sounds better.

@@Kalimbisteto Thank you!! I have been searching for this info.
@Nclght no problem, happy to help!
wow new kalimba? how many do you have? ❤❤❤
Haha I'm not sure anymore! I haven't really counted them but I'm guessing between 30 and 50 😳
Is it possible to retune it so that it doesn't have repeating notes? Can you retune the #4 tine to #2?
