Note: At about 4:21 of this video it states that the ¾” band yields at 2250 lbs that is incorrect the C206996 band yields at around 1350 lbs. The breaking strength of the C20699 band is 2250 lbs.
I’ve been using this tool since about 1970. It was sent to Band it once for chipping at the face. They sent me a new tool no charge. I have a Junior adapter that I use most often now. I just made up a hard suction hose for a Honda water pump.
used this tool for the first time. The video is so superior to the provided instructions that have some VERY crummy pictures. I did finally figure it out but one thing that i have not reconciled. It says that you can use the spool and not waste. Holding the spool or a length of band while trying to set the band clamp is more than a handful. maybe with two people or with a skill that is not shown. So I have to do a little waste until that skill or a second person comes along LOL
will this tool secure 3/4 stainless steel banding around a 27ft aluminum slatted swimming pool? I think this will help keep the pool together for a long time.
You would probably want a wider band to prevent any damage when the water in naturally shifting around the sharp edge from people moving inside the pool. Might even want to bevel the band edge or use something between the band and the pool
I watched a video My unit must be different it has a different banding system I bought the bandit clamps that are already pretty much formed. I can't figure out how to make the cutting tool work. I'm so sad tried it like 10 times I'm only using water hose so the clamps are working but they're not in properly I hate my life
You’d want to use a standard banding iron and banding tool set up for bricks and lumber. It will be a mere fraction per use compared to the stainless banding and stainless fancy seal/fastening clip

Good video, but I kept hearing a voice in my head saying:
“One time, at Band Clamp…”
How do you remove the band
Why didn't you demonstrate the use of the limiter?

One of the handiest tools to have.

Thank you. Good info to know for tower hands.

Is this tool just meant for circular tubes and the like or can it be used on for instance a pallet full of bricks
It could be used for just about anything you can wrap the banding around. The banding material is not cheap. It made of stainless steel.

Good
