- Hello dears 😍! An unusual case today. Washing a blood stained carpet. It is very important to use very cold clean water first, because only it will not fix the stain and has good rinsing properties. Can blood stains be removed 100%? it depends on what material the stain is on and how long it waits for washing 😊.

It would not have mattered on this rug, but if the fabric is light and the blood is fresher, you should first soak the stain in salt water. Really saturate it. Then rinse well before you scrub. The reason is, the red substance (hemoglobin) is inside the cells, which are dried and stuck to the fibers. If you rehydrate them with plain water, the cell walls explode and let the hemoglobin out where it can bind to the fibers. If you use salt water, the cells stay intact until they float away and the staining is much less. You want the whole cells to release and then flood them with water. Then scrub as usual.
Source: I was a paramedic and had to wear white uniforms. Saline was my dear friend.

Who was rolled up in there? Woah! When you said blood stains, I was expecting a few spatters. Maybe their dog birthed her puppies in the middle of the carpet, and it's not actually a crime scene. Gorgeous after cleaned up. The cleaning really popped up the 3-D aspect of the art.
