Nice! Thanks for sharing. One question: if you move to another workstation for audio mixing - how do you do that? Transfer also the COMPLETE FCPx library? Because that would make online file transfer almost impossible … Or can you somehow send only the audio clips, and if you get the XML back from the mix, it still refers to your library?
I keep getting: "One or more retimed clips were imported without retiming being applied. The clips have been muted." It only imports the Dialogue and even the dialogue is offtime and stacked on top of each other. Any clue how to fix this?
This is my first time working this way. But I have a major problem, when I send out the XML from LPX back to FCPX, I don't hear the changes I made to the EQ and Compression I had put on the bus channels. I can only hear the level adjustments and crossfades, thats it... Has anyone encountered this same problem and @Michael Schmidt have you listened to your edited tracks properly o the exported LPX XML file in FCPX?
Hi! great tutorial, thank you for sharing! May I ask you a question: I noticed that your background music is very well balance and does not interfere with your voice over. Which audio level did you use? do you use compression or something like that? I am struggling a bit to make it right in my vidéos... danke schön!
Hey Michael, my name is Akwasi. I am an audio engineer as well as boom operator and sound designer of a film company. I need to learn how to mix and master audio in logic. Do you have any videos for that or have any pointers in which you can share with me?
+Patrick Donahue What version of Logic Pro X do you have? I know first hand early versions of FCPX didnt have XML at all so it wouldn't surprise me if LPX didn't in the early versions. Do you have the latest update or at least a pretty new version? Also worth noting is FCP X and LPX have to be similar updated versions or the programs won't recognize each others XML's, with FCP X 10.2.1 XML's from Logic Pro X won't open because I haven't used LPX in a while and didn't update it but I had updated FCP X. Its kind of a pain but yeah.
It's so refreshing to watch a tutorial that doesn't ask you to subscribe before you see any of the content!
the best, most indepth tutorial for moving to and from FCPX/Logic Pro X!

By the way you import the Logic Pro X project back to FCPX,how do you use the master channel strip of logic, or the Busses???
Fotis Papatheodorou same question here. I guess it doesn’t make sense, only if you make a mix down in logic
is there a way to split the movie and move the clips just with logic pro?
Nice video, very clear. Is it reliable?
Hi, Where is possible to learn the Basic Audio Post-Production in Logic Pro X for a FCPX project ??
What about automatization? Can i view my LPX automatization work flow on FCX?
Thanks!
Should I also detach the audio from video and assign roles to them?
Thank you
