The final battle may confused someone. The truth is that player finshed the puzzle of this area and got the assistance of another stone monster. Also, he find the ability that transform to stone.Your ability to transform that stone allows you to awaken that big rock guy. That guy is called 石敢当 .石敢当 means "stone can ward off all evil demons". The view of stone as something with spiritual energy comes from the worship of spirit stones by ancient Chinese people. wukong awakens the stone helper.This stone helper is very powerful.This is the reason that the fight of last boss is so quick. Interesting, someone who has poor gaming skill can also pass this fight easily.
Noted that wukong does not randomly wielding his stick, there is a hidden flow or an art if aesthetics behind it, which really encourages me to practice my combo to finish off the boss nicely and neatly.
3 different basic attack mode. roughly translated to slash attack, stab attack and increase the length of the stick then attack. you use D-pad on controller to swap.

That stone skin parry, and the freeze ability are gonna make boss battles so much more manageable. The fact that the parry knocks the boss back is invaluable 👍🏽.

Soon it won't be anything special as games stop being crossgen and we get pro versions of current gen consoles that will be able to handle these graphics . Its very easy to nake these graphics with UE5

so far the game looks and plays amazing with these boss battles, I just hope the regular enemies are just as good and there are a good amount variety of them because we haven't seen much of them and they'll be what we fight majority of the game I would imagine.
I watched this at 0.25 speed and found the combat animation so smooth and just so satisfying to watch. It's astonishing. Can't wait to get hands on it. Also, I think there is too much information for DLSS3 to handle, the AI generated frames are so messed up. I hope this game could run at a decent fps without DLSS3 when released.
About the final part: during you gameplay you can collecting the special materials named: buddha eye in this area. If you successfully collect all of them you can use buddha eye summoning the huge rock monster fight with the "rock vanguard" which one is the elite enemy in this area.

As a lifelong fan of Journey To The West and growing up watch the CCTV 1986 TV series, I can't describe the happiness that this is becoming something real. I have searched my entire life for a modern adaptation that would come even remotely close to the experience of that show and so far since the first trailers of this game were released in 2020, I am becoming more and more convinced that this will be it!!! Please lord let this be true.

i know this is a game which require some differences from what would actually be real in order to play... but I cant ignore the fact that in these games you hit the enemies and they don't react as they actually took a hit... it takes like 10 hits to they are forced back... This really cuts the fun for me... I remember when i played Path of neo...the enemies would actually react to your punches... although agent smith would always defend... they would not just keep the movement that was already being executed... instead they would react to it... and it made the game so much fun... this is also the reason why i enjoy monster hunter... although in monster hunter the movements are more of epic so its less quantity... but it feels more or less good... and then you have those survival games i can't stand because no matter how many hits or shots you give to your enemy doesnt do crap plus the timing usually never matches the player hit (for some reason) which totally cuts the immersion to me...

Even tho I'll never afford a pc that runs this game I hope it's a success upon release, I've been following the production of this game ever since the first trailer and am really excited to see gameplay when it drops
I've been watching this game since it was first announced with masses of excitement but the one thing that I come away thinking every time I see an update is the general character movement when he's locked on looks rigid and badly done. Now I'm gonna add on that everything else looks amazing, the combat animations, the designs, the levels, all of it. It's jsut when Wu is locked on to an enemy the movement animations look awful to me, no movement or weight to them. i'm hoping this becomes a little more fluid before the finished product is released.
I hope that when this game comes out, it's just like Armor Core 6 and Baldur's Gate 3; a fully polished game with lots to do and no micro-transactions or paid cut content.

One of the reason why you think the boss fight feels and looks so good is because its a Chinese Developer game, Chinese Action film really like to incorporate rhythm to fights, there are slow down and speed up during the fight, check out some old action movie Hong Kong cinematography, there is a rhythm in the fights

I'd say in terms of systems it definitely does, as for the rest, it's basically Chinese mythology, it's how I imagine it when I read xianxia novels lol. Lots of potential with crazy and unique ideas that never really make it to the West.

I think the staff hit sounds need some work. Animation wise it looks stunning, but when it comes to that snap you should feel from the impact of the staff, its not quite there with the current hit sound mixing. Other than that I cannot wait to play this game.

@mikeoxlong403 game reviewers keep marketing this game as a Souls game. It's not really, just an ARPG with abit of difficulty.
The knockback effect will depend on enemies size and armour. I'd imagine there's a weight and poise system built in just like in Souls games.
It literally has potential, so hoping everything goes well.

i know this is a game which require some differences from what would actually be real in order to play... but I cant ignore the fact that in these games you hit the enemies and they don't react as they actually took a hit... it takes like 10 hits to they are forced back... This really cuts the fun for me... I remember when i played Path of neo...the enemies would actually react to your punches... although agent smith would always defend... they would not just keep the movement that was already being executed... instead they would react to it... and it made the game so much fun...
this is also the reason why i enjoy monster hunter... although in monster hunter the movements are more of epic so its less quantity... but it feels more or less good...
and then you have those survival games i can't stand because no matter how many hits or shots you give to your enemy doesnt do crap plus the timing usually never matches the player hit (for some reason) which totally cuts the immersion to me...

I've been watching this game since it was first announced with masses of excitement but the one thing that I come away thinking every time I see an update is the general character movement when he's locked on looks rigid and badly done.
Now I'm gonna add on that everything else looks amazing, the combat animations, the designs, the levels, all of it. It's jsut when Wu is locked on to an enemy the movement animations look awful to me, no movement or weight to them. i'm hoping this becomes a little more fluid before the finished product is released.

I hope that when this game comes out, it's just like Armor Core 6 and Baldur's Gate 3; a fully polished game with lots to do and no micro-transactions or paid cut content.

It looks like they went outside, recorded video in 4k in various locations and just superimposed everything else. The graphic fidelity is wild.
I have been waiting for this game, looks friggin' good and the combat looks challenging enough. That parry though at 1.12 is beautiful 😮. Hopefully we get a polished AAA game this round with good optimization as all I am seeing is DLSS slapped everywhere.
Side effect of AAA developers pushing ray tracing on everything. DLSS is here to stay but probably in 2 more generations of gpus we'll have optimal non-DLSS performance

One of the reason why you think the boss fight feels and looks so good is because its a Chinese Developer game, Chinese Action film really like to incorporate rhythm to fights, there are slow down and speed up during the fight, check out some old action movie Hong Kong cinematography, there is a rhythm in the fights
Oh thank heavens looks more like action rpg than souls like. Seems like you don't die from like 2 hits and seems more forgiving. Now i'm more interested.

I'd say in terms of systems it definitely does, as for the rest, it's basically Chinese mythology, it's how I imagine it when I read xianxia novels lol. Lots of potential with crazy and unique ideas that never really make it to the West.

I think the staff hit sounds need some work. Animation wise it looks stunning, but when it comes to that snap you should feel from the impact of the staff, its not quite there with the current hit sound mixing. Other than that I cannot wait to play this game.
