- I've been listening to this Bastille song a lot recently and after my home was vandalized last week, it kinda took on a whole new meaning to me. So I recorded a version of it for your listening pleasure. - Claudio

imagine introducing Claudio's voice as new music to someone for the 1st time, and they've never seen him: you share this 1st ... and then you share live video of Welcome Home 😂
Its funny that people other than the band/ its members are dictating what is coheed's sound and what isn't. Not to mention people saying that he ruined the song or that the song is bad. He just wanted to record a version of a song that reflected his feelings. if you don't like it you should listen to the other version(s) or refrain from listening at all. Salty comments are pointless.
i just never understand why someone would watch the video and then leave a bad comment..there's a thumbs down button for that negative comment and view someone got paid 🤷🏿♂️
This whole "if you don't like it, you're not listening right. Or don't have a good taste in music" mentality that Coheed fans have is pretty embarrassing as a fellow Coheed fan. My favorite band is Coheed, but some people don't like Coheed. I don't see why it can't just end there, instead flame wars occur on every Coheed related video. Just ignore the people who say they don't like it, they are allowed to not like it.
On a more relevant note, fantastic song, beautiful cover. Claudio doing Claudio things and making it work as usual.
i think the reason so many elitists have joined the community is because Coheed has a very diverse and unique (in some cases not all) range of sounds through their albums and even the songs within the albums. Like how The Afterman (song) sounds much different than Number City. So a lot of times people who like that style get defensive when people don't like it along with them. Same thing with bands like Tool. But yea. i completely agree with you.
thats what ive been learning about criticizing other peoples music. your music isnt something everyone has to like(in the business, yes but other wise no) because its just an expression of something your feeling. who cares if anyone but you likes it?
StaticFromage As a coheed fan you should be used to people not liking it and even making fun of the music. When In Keeping Secrets came out my friends all called it chipmunk music because of his voice and said he sang like a girl and heard the line about cutting he throats of babies and called them baby killers. I remember meeting the first person who liked them. I was amazed that someone else actually liked them too.

+StaticFromage Being a Coheed fan, is like being really into this unique sound and you love it so much, but not a lot of people are right into it. Its true what people say about the music growing on you though. It soooo does, I didn't really like them but i used to have the IKSSE:3 CD laying around and i always left CD'S on while i cleaned my house or whatever and after a while the intense feeling that claudios voice brings to the music got me

When I heard that Coheed and Cambria covered this song, this is not what I expected to hear, but it's great!
Well, it's not really a Coheed cover, it's a Claudio Sanchez cover. Claudio actually has a much broader range of musical endeavors outside of Coheed and Cambria, and a couple diverse side projects. He is definitely best known for his Prog Metal, but he can get down with some smoother genres, too.
Think more prize fighter then Coheed and it makes more sense lol.

A similar shot (different angle) hangs on my wall with my Mark Rothko prints. And I'm a Coheed & Cambria fan, so nice to see this used with one of my favorite artists.

No one would this agree with me if I say Claudio Sanchez can give justice to any song he'll cover. And to those people who will disagree, you're a type of people who just listen to song but doesn't appreciate how the singer sings it and mean to them. I've seen William Shakespeare's Richard II this weekend and this song tells the story for me. This version especially conveys those emotions of loss and the inevitability of resignation. "Oh where do we begin, the rubble or our sins' Kinda sums up everything about the play.
