It'll be interesting to see how this game progresses. In addition to the obvious Tactics roots, the style reminds me a little of the old style of CRPGs like Avernum and Geneforge with a party doing exploration and turn-based combat on a grid.
It certainly has potential. I'll be keeping an eye on this one!
