LeBron 20 time!! In this video we go over the on-court performance of the Nike LeBron 20, including a brief comparison of the “South Beast” colorway with a leather upper vs the “Debut” colorway in knit materials.
Cushioning and heel compression are fantastic on this shoe, the Cushlon foam and Zoom Air make the midsole very soft and responsive. Overall this can be considered a bouncy shoe as well. Traction is excellent indoors, both types of rubber outsole performed very well and had a good grip from my experience. The LeBron 20 fits true to size, has about average width, and a little bit of soreness for flat footers should be expected, but no major issues. Stability is the biggest downside of these, the midsole might just be too soft to some’s standards, and lateral containment on the knit upper is not ideal. However given the reduced weight, low cut and bold design, this might be the best LeBron shoe in a long time.

Did Bron shoe just twisted sideway trying to pivot on his heel on a cut and came off his foot completely? Hard heel strike at an angle…good luck with your knees and ankles.

These fit me a lot better in my usual size 10 than the Kobe 6 protro. The kb6 is extremely tight and feels half a size too small while the lebron 20 feels mostly true to size.

I bought 4 pairs so I liked them so much. Trinity is my fave Colorway. Also have Debut, South Beast, and the xmas. These are luxury basketball shoes and worth the money in my mind. These get me excited to play ball in. Between these and the KD15s you can’t ask for better products from Nike.
Wow nice. Yeah I had that level of excitement too when I got the LeBron 20s, as in like holding them in hand makes me just wanna go play in them. 😃
In my opinion the lebron 20 has amazing stability. I think it’s probably your flat foot. I tried my pair and it’s great, the outrigger gives great ankle support. The carbon fiber shank plate also adds better stability. And the cushion will bottom out later, so it won’t be too soft while also still being soft. Otherwise, great review!

The outriggers keep the shoes from turning over on the side, but if your foot slide off the foot bed it’s useless. Stability comes from lateral containment and heel lock down….you can fold the heel flat forward in these. Sorry….not a good shoe for me for ankle support or stability.
@@long8888 Stability / lateral containment was bad for me too. The leather upper helped a little bit by adding some firmness but again more soreness than the knit upper one. Guess it’s just hard to get everything to work out perfectly 😂

@@hollywoodrdscholar Yup they should be fine! For me I experienced soreness more in the leather version, and even that it didn’t bother me much really.
Same here. When Tommy mentioned that .. I will stick with my WoW10s and WhyNotZer0.5s. Then, the WoW 808 2 when my size becomes avail.
I got the Trinity colourway off GOAT because I didn’t want to wait.
It took forever for them to release in Canada.
I really enjoy mine. I love the cushioning.
I had no issues with stability.

I got the time machine pair and the south beach pair. I really do like them a lot. And I think they're one of the best basketball shoes out there. Them and the KD15s i think are just amazing. Lebron's shoes usually have a decent quality to them.The 20s are in line with that. Feel really good in hand and the quality is very decent.
I do really like these but I do feel the cushion is overhyped. Definitly in the top 5 BBall shoe of 2022. I bought a pair and played in them for a month and the impact protection just wasn't there and I wrecked my knees. Everyone said you just have to break,them in, give them another chance so now I am on my second pair in the Debute color way and these feels slightly better because the outsole seems softer but honestly overall cushion feels the same. The only way I can feel the zoom is when I'm wearing my Move Game Day insoles.The heel compression is nice after a few wears but other than that they are killing my knees. I do well in the KD14 & PG6 and I'm leaning toward the PG6 as Best BBall shoe for 2022. Btw... like your reviews been subscribes since day 1.
🙏 Thank you!! Yeah actually if I was to compare them against the KD 14 and PG 6, I’d probably say those are better overall performance wise. The LeBron 20 is way better aesthetically imo, I think that factored a lot into our buying decisions with them 😆

Wish I would’ve read this before getting the 20s with my voucher from Nike. I’ll give it 60 days but I will probably go with the GT Cut 2 because the forefoot cushioning is extremely thick (plus they’re on sale on Nike).

I actually play in the Lebron 19 as my main shoe, the GT Run as my 2nd, and Zoom Rize as 3rd because of how good the forefoot cushioning is in all of them (really the total cushioning but mainly forefoot). Would’ve tried the 37 if the traction was more trustworthy.

These just arrived in the mail for me. I went up half a size and they’re still quite snug width wise. Curious to see how the material breaks in. Cushion and traction seems amazing!
Ah I see, to me one thing I didn’t like was that the leather material isn’t as forgiving as the knit upper, so flexibility and breathability aren’t as good. Traction & responsiveness no complains for sure 😃

It’s between the Court Rider & TRC Blaze Court to me. I’d prefer the TRC Blaze Court for being much lighter but the Court Rider is more wide foot friendly and has better long-term durability.
in reguard to "flat feet" topic in sport/basketball,
you can have a flat feet but function like a healthy feet or vice versa, good arch feet but function like flat feet!
so the take away is, if your body function just fine, you may not have ISSUES of flat feet despite the fact that it looks "flat".
many high dunker/jumper have flat feet- but they function just fine or even better than usual
so just go get essentials works on your feet/body, can't just go and play ball for years without doing some exercises to strengthen/ injury prevent your body/feet.

Hey, thank you! Very tough but WOW 10. Both are in my Top 10 of the year if not Top 5, but the WOW 10 is more of an all-around performer with hardly any weaknesses.

I got the Trinity colorway and initially experienced instability, but once the cushlon material molded to my feet, the stability significantly improved. Shoe of the year for me!

I went through multiple orders and returns to figure out the sizing. The debut and Trinity (I believe also south beast) are made in Vietnam. HAD to go up half size. I got the Christmas, made in china, and they were way too big. Went tts and then fit like my other two pairs. I think Time Machine and frost also made in china and are tts. Something to be aware of.
Hey I also thought that the time machines were made in China but from what I’ve seen on ebay and with the authenticity guarantee aswell all the boxes of the time machines say made in Vietnam so I tried on a 13.5 in the debuts which is half a size up from my normal 13 and they fit good and I know the debuts are a Vietnam colorway so should I also get a 13.5 in a time machine because it says time machines are made in Vietnam. You can also check it on Ebay if you would like just look at the part where the seller includes the size on the box and it will say made in Vietnam.

i've played with the debut, and at first i got my shoe not laced well so it almost had been removed from my foot. and next the stability i say that its not the greatest. especially when stopping in an instance, but overall. this is a great shoe for me of all time. not to mention that i'm a wide footer, and it fits right on. anyways thanks for the video. it really confirmed my analysis on this shoes.

I usually have similar take regarding sizing from majority of your videos. I also have slightly wide and flat feet. However, for LeBron 20, I have to half size up. The toe area was too uncomfortable if I go tts.
Also what is your opinion on outsole durability? I think you mentioned rubber is hard, so presume it meant decent durability?
I see, I could go half a size up too for sure but TTS was right on for me. Decent as an assumption, but I’ve never used them outdoors and don’t plan on doing that anytime soon so not too sure about durability.

May I ask what kit should I use to clean these pair of shoes? I'm having trouble as I don't want to destroy the texture of the leather.
Would you say that these are okay for flat and slgihtly wide feet? I love your reviews a lot since we have a similar foot type but I would say I am slightly wider than you. Cant exactly go up the full size I normally do because of the arch support. What would you think?
We’re very similar then, flat feet and slightly wide. 😃 I’d say to avoid soreness in general, the knit version is better cause I had no issues with comfort and tightness since the materials were forgiving. With the pink leather version I had some soreness over time, but the lateral containment was also better. So there’s sort of a tradeoff, but for flat footers if you go with a knit upper one I think they’re totally okay.
Was there a size different between the 2? Because those 2 colour ways were both made in different countries! White was made in vietnam and pink in China and the Vietnam ones run small for some reason
Good point, I saw someone else mention that the other day and I honestly never realized they were made in different countries 😂 From my experience I went true to size in both and they fit me fine. You can indeed go half a size up with the knit upper Debut colorway to get a roomier fit or for better lateral containment.

After 8 months, do you still prefer the leather one than the knitted upper? There’s a discount for the leather one in my location and I’m thinking of buying it but never seen anyone else use the leather so I’m a bit reluctant rn
Leather = better stability, but at the expense of more stiffness; Knit = softer, but worse lateral containment. Whichever you prefer I guess, there’s the tradeoff.

Hey. It’s better for people with a normal or high arch versus those have flat feet in my opinion. If you have really wide feet maybe go up a half size just to be safe, but they should have decent comfort regardless and not a very narrow fit.

Been watching and appreciating your. Ideas until now due to the lack of ho watt when it comes to the pink colorway. It is hard like cardboard and the lacing can barely be tightened properly. They are practically unplayable and I’d even avoid them casually. I had to send mine back because the shoe is a joke. It’s a shame you weren’t more transparent in this review. I’d advise partial burgers avoid the leather colorways say all costs, especially for performance

I definitely might be wrong about things but as to being transparent… It’s not like I got sponsored or anything 😂😂 I personally enjoyed this pink colorway A LOT, would agree with your take on them being hard especially compared to the more common knit upper but it did help offset the stability issue a bit. had them on court for the first time yesterday, stability was amazing compared to mesh. but the traction tho, it became a vacuum cleaner and started to absorb all the dust on floor and turned into a pair of skates. please tell me this is a temporary issue (its not that much of a dirty court)
Right, the leather upper offers better stability. My pink pair does pick up dust as well, but for me it didn’t really affect the performance too much… I just have to wipe off the dust often. In that aspect traction on the Debut colorway is a bit better honestly.

Suede: harder/stiffer but more stable; Knit: softer and more comfy. There’s a tradeoff, you can go with whichever feeling you prefer.

South beast finally came in and the leather had tons of scratches on it!!!! Super poor quality! Luckily Nike exchanged them so another pair is on the way. Waited forever for the pinks!

Hmmm, that’s so tough. WOW 10 for me probably, but my flat feet was an important factor. Otherwise both top 10 of the year for sure.
Stability is A1 you might need to break yours in or gain a few lbs
