That planter is brilliant! Like you said how great for a small space. A person could grow all their herbs and some vegetables in a tiny apartment. The watering method is also brilliant.

Love the deck!! So beautiful and relaxing...I smiled when you said raccoon had a snack. All God's creatures have to sneak a snack once in a while. Lol I fed the squirrels peanuts until one morning my fur babies saw the squirrels before I did and they knocked me down 5 steps onto concrete patio!! Broke collarbone so I had to move squirrel feeders on down further away from house...lesson learned I'm excited about the wax melts...I tend to forget I have a candle burning so I'm safer with wax melts Thank you for all you do!!

you could use vinyl for the tarp, just overlap the pieces 2" or so and use contact cement, drop cloths also work well, to water proof them just use a good acrylic latex paint or you can use thinned artist grade acrylic and let your muse have fun

I use mulch in my planters. That helps it to hold moisture and keeps the dirt from splashing out when it rains
