The Golden Temple (Darbar Sahib, Sri Harmandir Sahib - "The Abode of God") in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India is the holiest shrine and the most important pilgrimage site for the Sikhs. It is on the Tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. THE GOLDEN TEMPLE AMRITSAR was an eye-opening experience for us. Looking at the countless volunteers following the preaching of Sikhism and serving humanity was such an emotional feeling. Also had the privilege of visiting the guru langar which serves free food to anyone visiting the temple. I would encourage all to do come and visit the holy place and see for yourself the peace you will get. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
