This is so true I grew up in California and you always knew when their were rich kids around or young adults becus they always were wearing something so casual that could easily be $900 the clothes only of course no brand names u just knew that fabric is rich rich 💰
exactly
I wanna be your friend and I really wanted to go CA.
100%
Yup, it can’t be just normal sweater. You’ll know pure cashmere when you see it. It might be looks simple but in a real will looks so smooth.
And their whole outfit is some crazy price 😅
Exactly so not worth it
Quality
@@Kathakathan11 I guess it depends on the brand so not all. But I can't get past the idea that a $200 might have only cost them $20 to make it that's where I stand. To each their own.
@@janaywhite4567not all fabric costs the same to make, some things are overpriced, yes but the quality of their fabric tends to be better, and that costs more to make.
per example i purchased a lined shirt from GAP recently and it seriously can’t compare to the quality of my other one from a smaller, ‘pricey’ brand. the catch is, i payed a $25 dollar difference for the two. (the gap item is wayyyyy overpriced for the quality)
so yes, some items are overpriced but if the clothing you’re buying is high-quality, they will in face have a higher manufacturing price. and you can tell.
don’t shop for cost, shop for quality:)
@@One_AutummnLeaf it's definitely worth it bcuz the price is for the fabric and stitch quality
those simple looking expensive clothes are so well made that you can wear them inside out 😂 and feel extremely good against the skin
same w the shoes and heels, they're expensive bcuz of the material and make, they're very comfortable to wear and won't harm your feet
My aunt is rich rich, and her daily fit is a good pair of jeans, a casual blouse, some nice low heals and her diamond studs and ring. It’s very casual but she glows, she is 60 but has amazing skin.
She sounds amazing and what I aspire to be when I get to that age haha. Is she married ? Or is she the cool single aunt? Not that it matters, I’m just curious because I have an image in my head haha
Thts where the money goes! Not bags, SKIN 😌
@@user-so3gq4es1por both & then some?
its true. My ex was super rich and sometimes his dad wore a hole in his shorts and flip flops!!! Because those people have so much, they don't need to prove a thing to anyone.
pretty sure every dad has a holy short honestly😂
Wtf😂
why y'all broke up??
@@isagallego3496 It just wasn't meant to be! Hahaha it was tough to get over but God has different plans haha
@@Ariel-lol haha yes! Not to mention, we are Australian 😂 extra chill
I worked in Beverly Hills. The ones trying very hard were usually overdrawn and the ones in target shorts and flip flops had millions invested. This is very true.
Yeah right. I’m from Beverly Hills and in BH wealthy people wear a lot of brands/logos and also do the casual tennis look. Never Target shorts.
That’s absolutely not true. When I visit Beverly hills all the people in the stores buying things casually or coming out of expensive cars were wearing designer head to toe
@@Aliiii831 visit vs worked, im taking the person that worked there rather just visit. and obviously its not how every rich person dresses. but for the most part, they really do just wear boujee but bland clothing. not every rich person uses their wealth to look rich. this is common sense i feel.
Not all of us.
@@m.s9146 “usually”, they also didn’t say everyone, but it could very well be the majority.
They look more put together bc of their diet, hair treatments or management and skin they have specialist for that
This is so true and nobody’s talking about it
💯
And not stressed by having to work every day by employers rules and schedules or how to pay bills or house
Can I mention that new money rich is still awesome! Celebrate your hard earned money that’s not handed down to you! 🙌
Yes I have lived in San Francisco for the majority of my life, and there is a real fine, blurry line between the billionaire aesthetic and the homeless aesthetic
Haha. I actually call it hobochic…I will rotate the same clothes and I’m pretty sure I only get compliments from people are who trying to check my pockets.
Billionaires are sparklingly clean and speak clearly without a slur.
@@trains889 😂
This is the definition of old vs new money
You will spot new money right away, you may look past the old money because they are not about pretending to have, they are about “look like the rest” but snobbier
And sometimes the old money isn't even snobby.
And old rich has more power than the new rich people.
You’ve got it! Snobby casual.
My mom used to work at Neiman Marcus last call and rich rich people would shop there. Like movie stars in south Florida and she got a super rich lady at her store who said she wanted a certain designer shoe, my mom showed her a pair that had the logo on it and the woman said “no, no logos, that looks cheap, the truly wealthy don’t want anyone to know that what they’re wearing is designer, they just want the quality.”
Upper middle class - Either brand names or Shein (often both)
Lower Upper class - Iffy, depends on where the money comes from, if they are celebs then probably popular brands, if not then stuff like ralph laurent, lululemon, or Zara, bit of a mix.
Upper class - High quality basics. Not really an "aesthetic" more like put together but casual. Occasionally a bit preppy.
They'll be wearing a 100$ bra, 200$ jeans and 800$ shoes and you'll think they'll look amazing even if you have the exact same outfit sitting in your wardrobe mostly bc high quality clothes just fit different.
Source - 6 years of european private school.
If you really want to look rich, get a Taylor. Or a sewing machine and learn to fix your clothes.
Also, the it girls would ALWAYS wear dainty gold bracelets and earrings.
Is it an European thing to put $ at the back? $600 vs 600$
@@dvdgalutube its because we're used to Euro and you out the € behind the number unlike with dollar. Many just forget that other currencies do it differently or never paid attention to it.
@@Eli-qb2sw* tailor
I feel lululemons more middle class
I grew up pretty rich in a pretty rich environnement. I've never seen any of these people wear obvious brand names. In fact, things like LV are seen as very tacky. It doesn't matter to rich people, they don't need to impress you or show off. They are already there. They go to places and do things with their own kind. The richest people I know are the kindest and most humble people. But they bought the house next door to theirs because they "hate having neighbors" lmao.
(I'm not rich personally. I'm NC with my father now. I work a shitty job like everyone else 🤷♀️)
@@violett874Absolutely not true, they are different people with different behaviours, rich people can be very nice and humble but also they can be very arrogant and rude , specially the new ones.. greetings from Greece
Yes, but they then have their own name brands that they all wear but most people have never heard of like Oliver Peoples (though they're a bit more well known now they weren't ten years ago and more), The Fold, St. John, Arcteryx, Helly Hansen, etc. So they do wear nane brands just not the ones the masses are taught to worship and see as sucess.
@@violett874The kinda rich are that way. The really wealthy are kind and humble to everyone. They know everyone's name from the janitor, employees'/colleagues and their kids, to the dry cleaner and the valet. They help people when they can. There's always some that slip through the cracks but for the mostpart it takes working with a lot of people and making a ton of contacts to be really wealthy so being a jerk isn't going to get you there. I find the $1-20 millionaires are the worst.
@@violett874 No, they are truly really kind. The dad manages a trust that funds research into medication. One day, we were on holidays together, and he was reading this really big biology book and I asked why. He said that he needed to understand the research to chose which one to fund. Their kids were super nice, they didn't behave posh in anyway. I consulted on the building of their new house as they were renovating/adding to an historical property and it's my specialty. They were just really nice and not making me feel bad when I'd say "you can't remove that, it's historical" even though, deep down, I think they wished they could have just torn the whole thing down. They've also been around my not rich at all friends and no one could tell they were wealthy. Truly just normal people...with a biiig house. I know other rich people who are not so nice and kind, even within the same friends group. Some are just a little "I'm above you" others (usually from noble families) are kind of "out of touch". One of them talked to me endlessly about the "linens she inherited" because they pass down tablecloths, napkins and other stuff like that, which are monogrammed and have fancy stuff like expensive lace. I told my mom that if she ever tried to pass down TABLECLOTHS to me, I'd be so mad lol
Rich people who are mean are often "new rich" (or teenagers), it's like they still need to assert dominance, show you they are just better. Old rich, they can be rude because they expect "service", in the sense that usually they pay to be at places where they expect the best. But I've never seen any of them being down right assholes to people. And I've traveled with them, went out with them, etc.
I have not seen them in a few years now because they are my father's friends and I went no contact but it has nothing to do with his friends.
Bru not them buying the house next to them 😭🤣 that's so silly
I worked at a $500 minimum per person type steakhouse and the ones buying the cheapest things and not tipping we’re head to toe in LV monograms. The ones who came in with simple unbranded very nice clothing (even like purple track suits if it was lunch) we’re dropping 2k for a date night and tipped like 25% 😂.
Cause real wealth is understated… it doesn’t have to show off. It’s all investment pieces, well made, flattering but not too showy. That’s how you know.
money talks, wealth whispers.
Honestly growing up,I didn't know that my family was rich. (Until a kid in school picked a fight with me because the driver would show up in different cars) anyways when I discovered H&M, it was one of my favourite days.
Yes I did wonder why the clothes were soo beautiful yet cheap. I kept pulling clothes like in the movie confessions of a shopaholic except I was fighting against time.
Let me tell you when we were rich, we didn't notice what people wore. We only noticed the tacky logos all over the clothes (fake or original, that shit was ugly).
I think looking modest and feeling comfortable in whatever you wear is what makes you look good
Before uni, I took a gap year and was the au-pair of a wealthy family.
Especially the dad - if he wasn't going in to work - wore these frayed cargo shorts and super old boat shoes (while wearing an Omega Seamaster of course).
The point is, if you're rich - you can actually afford to not give a shit.
💯 I worked in oil and gas and the owners the millionaires came in with jeans and a tshirt or cargo shorts and a loose button up shirt. Hardly did they ever dress up .
True. They love monochromatic colors, too. All white. All black. All denim. All baby pink. Very Hamptons. Usually gold jewelry.
This is true! Those who are old money - never bring attention to themselves. I used to have a client who had holes in his clothes but owned a chain of hotels and properties. Usually those who are “new” money show their wealth by buying branded clothes etc.
I grew up in a wealthy and I disagree. People are people. Some dress bunny cause they don’t care. They wouldn’t care if they were rich or poor that’s how’d they dress. Others are into fashion so live expensive handbags and logos.
Yeah I went to a great Uni here in my country and there were lots of daughters of diplomats, CEOs CFOs etc and yeah all they had to have on them was in their phone since everything they ever needed was in their Apple wallet. No brands or anything like that ever.
I complimented a girls dress which was simple and elegant and she had sent me the link. Ofc it was silk handmade whatever. Cost was roughly my early tuition. Thanks for the link but I’d have to sell a couple of organs for that 😂
Literally like some guy who was rich like a multi millionaire rich wore christmas pajamas to eat at a really nice restaurant and it was june
I grew up in Ipanema, and this is very real haha the wealthy people dress like this most of the time and just have that carefree vibe about them. Its also hard to recognize any brand cause they're not walking advertisements. I used to call that style "carefree chic"
So true! I grew up as rich kid and my big sister snd mom or aunts or cousins dressed like this alot and it didn't rub off on me for sure cause i dress like im homeless.
lol I don't talk to bankers about my investments. That's the last place I keep my real money.
So true I have a wealthy clients and they’re extremely quiet and casual but not trashy looking, you can see them wearing extra expensive jewellery and leaving big tips but they never over dress, and rarely talk about money, I know people are middle or lower class from the way they care about price, rich people get what they want without any price concerns
How did you make that look so good!? Istg if I tried that exact same outfit I would look homeless and frumpy.... You are absolutely GORGEOUS😍🥰🤗
My husband grew up around rich rich and he taught me that the real rich rich don’t wear Fendi and Louis, they wear subtle brands my middle class ass has never even heard of before. 😂
Oh please some rich people love fashion others do not others have style others do not just like poor people . Style does not define wealth .
Thank you. I liked her other outfit and wouldn’t be caught dead in what’s she’s put on for this video (though I confess to having a near identical outfit). Quite certain that we would be among her bank’s top depositors.
I love you, so glad I found your content.
Same
Thanks!🥹🫶🏻
Old money people do not wear diamonds until after dark, never in daytime. The only exception being an engagement ring.
That might depend on whether you are in the diamond business, among others.
Yup! This is very true. Look at what people wear in first or business class on international flights, and that's how most people with wealth dress. Casual, comfortable, practical. Typically still good brands, but they usually go for longevity over flashy statements.
Ofc, not everyone is like this. But it's been my experience, and seems like a lot of others, too.
As my parents used to say, "When you're used to having money, you don't need to prove to everyone that you have it. Everyone already knows."
My parents always liked roasting the _nouveau riche_ like that, especially with the rise of flex influencers on social media
Sorry but your parents don't sound very nice.
GURL plss tell us where you got those white lounge pants 💗💗
Came here for this
It's the simplest but the best quality of fabric.
Your hair is so gorgeous!
From what I’ve seen rich people don’t flaunt their wealth but neither do they purposefully hide it like upper middle class rich.
Girl your hair is majestic ❤
I love her makeup so much
I love to see different type of styles whether u r rich or not .
“Rich gurr” 😂😂
Agreed!! Seen it. The rich are so effortless buy make it look soo classic and put together.
The thing that really makes you look good is not the clothes. It's your perfect figure, pretty face, gorgeous styled hair, and glowing skin. You could put on some cheap shit and you'd still look like a million bucks.
youre gorgeous omll
This is literally my style these days. Yes I talk to my banker at the branch about my investments.
i feel like white pants alone is rich vibe
Where are those lounge pants from?? Love them
Grew up around so many trustfund kids & this is so true
Well they honoured the rule: money talks, wealth whispers.
This is so true. Rich people really will just wear one color.
I think it’s just because I like it so that I wear it in that way. It’s not about pretending to be rich, it’s only about the design, the quality, the intelectual property in every product. I just like beautiful things. There’s no centered standards about living elegance. Those old money don’t represent the center of the elegance at all.
I can attest to this as someone that lives on an island filled with rich/wealthy ppl. They literally do not over complicate things at alllll
lol real rich people feel no need to show off they are rich
So true I work as a medical receptionist and a lot of our regulars dress just like that. With a design bag
Love! Do more of these videos please 🙏❤️
Rich people are not flashy WHATSSOEVER so you nailed it.
Rich people don't go to the bank to talk to them. The bank calls them and asks for an appointment.
Nah, sometimes, old rich are bored that they want to do everything themselves.
I loved the long sleeve with the skirt
That old money vibe✨️
That outfit is comfy-looking good
Exactly! When I go to thrift stores, I always think, it’s about your choices, not how much you spend. You could either get a t shirt and some jeans, or you could find a nice blouse and some dress pants, for pretty much the same price at a thrift store lol.
Exactly! The "rich" rich are so subtle and random, you'd never be able to guess the occasion. But you can rather almost feel their wealth in the quality of the cloth, shoes and accessories they're wearing. It's that most basic t-shirt to ever exist at the most ungodly price that does it
The most comfy or the comfiest
Love this it’s so true! ❤
Haha I’m a 35 yo male in the country and this is making me laugh
You look amazing and I hope you do get rich 😊
Absolutely correct. Simple but very expensive threads.
I love that skirt baby girl
You're really pretty 😍😍
No amount of money can buy a gorgeous figure and luminous skin like yours. Heck, I’d fall off a treadmill trying to walk that straight line. But ok we’ll see how close we can get with the clothes. 😂
I must be wealthy that’s what I dress like 😜
I love those pants!!
you do have the yoga pilates look that takes years and good living to create, very smooth
oh yeah, i used to go to the poshest mall in like a t-shirt and shorts (well fitting shirt and shorts, mind you) bc istg the rich rich ppl will be in the fanciest mall in the rattiest clothes... (not me lol, i was just broke broke)
True , this is how I dress on a daily casual!
Wealth don’t like logos everywhere !!
So true! Love your videos
Real rich people do not need to impress anyone so they choose comfort over aesthetic
Where do you get those pants? The white ones, I love them.
lol I’m the happiest when I go out in my sandals, wide leg joggers and a tee 😊
Love your watch
Yup completely on point!
You can clock them by looking at the jewelry and shoes, the clothing itself could be recreated from H&M 😅
Old money is classic and simple wealth, no tacky displays.
I see them a lot where I work at. She's not lying. 😂
First 💗
This is the most accurate "dress rich" vid lol.
The rich dont need to prove you that theyre rich 😂
So true! There's a clip of William Defoe being stopped on the street about his outfit and i swear he looks homless but the brands hes wearing cost more than my car payment 😂
Where to find the white pants pls?
Where can I buy that white pants?
Where are those pants from? They look super comfortable!!! Drop the link girl ❤
Where are the pants from? 👀
I used to live on an island, and the millionaires with yachts wore cargo shorts, flip flops, and ratty Tshirts. You are so right on - dressing nicely isn’t a real “wealth” thing. Some people are so wealthy they truly don’t give a darn what you think of their outfits. I’m not rich like that 😂
She’s not lying.. RICH, rich and mad simple dressers..
WHERE ARE THE PANTS FROM ??? 😍😍
I look like this on a daily basis
The President of our company you would never guess by looking at him. Dressed in jeans, worn out shoes, and a collared polo. He didn’t drive an expensive car but rather a beater. He was super down to earth and humble too!
😅😅😅😂😂I loved the explanation
She's absolutely right
I have to say for me the biggest difference I notice when I see new and old money people is how they carry themselves. They can wear the exact same outfit, but a lot of times the makeup and hair, the way of speaking and moving their body, the accessories they pick, the tone of voice, facial expressions and the energy they give off are completely different. One usually screams for attention and has almost a compulsive urge to impress and seduce, the other one is confident class that turns heads out of admiration.
(There are obviously exceptions in both categories, it's just something I observed as common here in Europe)
