    Thank you for refreshing my memory on how to install an invisible zipper using my Brother foot.

      Happy to help Cheryele! The Brother foot makes the concealed zipper come out so nice and neat. Happy sewing!

    Hey Joanne! That is some machine you’ve got there! Wow, nice!😃 I am new to invisible zips and have had great results using tape to tape the zip in place, and I have to really press those coils away. Oddly my invisible zip foot doesn’t “open” the zipper enough to make it truly invisible. Always an adventure with sewing, isn’t it? Great to see you, thanks for visiting my channel.

      Hey Viv! Nice to hear from you :-) I agree that tape is great for zippers! Guess I'm a glutton for punishment but I actually like basting in a zipper. By the way, the newest invisible (concealed) zipper foot is designed to push the coils flat as you stitch. You are sooo right about sewing being a new adventure each and every time we sit down to stitch 🙂 And now I'd like to thank you for visiting my channel. I was so happy to see you pop up here! You know I love your @Vivmom Sews channel!!!

      Thanks for your comment! I'm so happy to hear you liked the instructions :-) I installed an invisible zipper just the other day myself, and I'm always surprised how quick and easy they are. One, two, three, and you're done!

    Joanne, I've sewn invisible zippers before but never thought of sewing it at the top to hold it in place. I will definitely use that tip with my next invisible zipper. Thanks.

    I love invisible zippers. I hadn’t thought to pink the edges. I have a pinking blade for my rotary. Utter. Will be using this idea.

    I always struggle with an invisible zipper but i would have liked to see you sew the second side . Do you sew the second side from the bottom up . I am bit confused .

    • @LetsGoSewwithJoanneBanko
      @LetsGoSewwithJoanneBanko  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cathy! Let me clarify, I sew BOTH sides of the invisible zipper from the top down. The invisible zipper foot has a groove on both the right and the left so you can just switch to the opposite groove when you sew the opposite side of the invisible zipper. Having the zipper tape tacked at the top edge will help keep you from flipping the tape the wrong way. You may want to check out this blog post for another project with an invisible zipper. It has some photos that you might find helpful. Here's the link: bit.ly/3tuoJku P.S. If you need anything else just let me know. I'm happy to help!
