it's not redrawn but it's also not made up by myself. I used almost 20 references in poses and body parts for correct shapes and proportions. Quite hard to do that from memory
Actually pretty simple, i used to take photographs of myself while holding a lamp over my head :D gives some nice hard shadows and you can use them for like sunlight drawings (i actually still do it). If you do it often enough, you will gain a lot of experience when it comes to light and shadow
