Great rebuild bro like always. To me Pels should tear it down rebuild. Even if you keep Zion or Ingram this roster is not even a title contender. Mediocre purgatory playoff team will never do much. Zion had one healthy season doesn't mean anything. Embiid had one healthy season and but look what happened can't rely on Zion lol. He will never get you anywhere unreliable as is Ingram both great players but health is their Achilles heel.

Little issue with picks. It's a swap this year (2024) so the Pels will likely only have their own pick this year since I agree that it's almost certain they will defer the Lakers pick to 2025. Pels will have two first round picks in 2025, their own and the unprotected Lakers pick. The 2025 Bucks pick will be conveyed to the Knicks now I believe after it became tangled in to the CJ trade when the Hornets got the 2022 first instead of the Blazers.

I think the pelicans should keep Ingram because zion has shown show far he's not taking this seriously due to lack of nutrition. I would trade zion for beal. Trade cj and Jones. Give Dyson the starting spot, and get myles turner from the pacers.

So you traded a second-option star and your top pick in a great draft class for two average players on bad contracts who do not improve your team by replacing a better spacer you gave up for free and a near-max player who will sit on the bench.
Capela is an expiring 20 mill how is that bad contract? Dejounte Murray also is a great 3 point shooter, he’s improved like crazy from beyond the arc & his contract isn’t that bad either. Did I expect to get #2 & #4 in this rebuild? Not at all
@@Crushables Capela is not a better fit than Valanciunas who is a cap-hold which means zero value. Dejounte is a good defender but not the main provider Zion needs. CJ does that role better. The 21th and 23th picks for that draft class are still quite good. I mean at least you mixed it up a bit to give the team some fresh air but I would not see an improvement with that movements. Just an opinion.

Dejounte is honestly nearly as good as ingram lol hes just not a good fit with trae. But he was really good on the spurs and when trae wasn’t playing this season.
Moving CJ to the bench is the move in 2k, after year 1 he always falls to around an 82. I did a similar rebuild myself a few days ago. It’s best to trade BI for a point guard, keep herb at the 2 so you have an elite point of attack defender, and have CJ average an efficient 15-17 off the bench.
You can’t trade Ingram or Zion they both are great. Cj mcollum is the issue

If I'm The Pelicans I'm keeping Zion and trading Ingram he didn't perform well in the playoffs. A team like the Grizzlies could use a guy like Ingram
