Appreciate seeing Delauer on. I feel I owe him a lot. Down 97lbs following his mediterranean keto and feel like my psoriatic arthritis is all but gone. Thanks, Smelly and crew, for another awesome video!
37:44 muscle on keto discussion Jeez. I wish there were time stamps for this discussion. It feels like squeezing blood from a stone getting DeLauer and many keto proponents to accurately and succinctly discuss building muscle on keto. Doesn’t he eat carbs now?
Great episode. I still don't know why the idea of building muscle on a low carb diet is even a question. Bodybuilders in the 50's through 70's followed a low carb diet, David Palumbo has been recommending a low carb diet over 20 plus years as has Dr Mauro Di Pasquale. I'm not saying obviously that if someone isn't healthy that they can't eat carbs etc since tons of bodybuilders in the 80's followed a higher carb lower fat diet. I'm just saying people keep acting like a low carb keto diet is new or something.
47:30 Oh my god this is literally the question I had been searching the answer for, didn't find it anywhere and here it is. What a great question! Thank you!
Did the keto approach for years - now diet protein 1.2 gram per lean body mass , increased carbs from under 50 to 200, essential fats only under 30grams - fat melted off , better workouts .
Sure, it's possible. But it's not optimal. People like to say potatoes and rice are causing cancer, Bipolar, Alzheimers - but the bottom line is, if you're active, strength training, and have a high level of NEAT - there's virtually no reason to think carbohydrates are somehow detrimental. Or that ketosis is some magical state you need to attain. Why not power anaerobic activity with glycolysis - and the way to keep those glycogen stores nicely topped off in order to repeat that activity is with evil, delicious carbohydrates. Or have we been led to believe that eating rice is jacking your insulin up, making you store fat, clogging your arteries, and making you depressed? shit is absurd
here i am wanting to watch this on rumble.. and i cant... it whould take a while to get all that on rumble and i get it that u dont want to use it.. but yea.. with my big hate on youtube i am currently trying to swap all my watchtime of all youtube stuff also on rumble over there.. just as a habbit and i cant sadge and anyways, thanks for all the good content
what keeps rumble from being able to take off in my opinion is, that so many persons dontt post content frequently enough there and that hurts growth and hurts us wanting to get the habbit.. anyways, u do u
Personal thing maybe, but I can’t listen to Thomas DeLauer speaking for any length of time. Bullshitting self aggrandiser extraordinaire. Reminds me of that Ben Greenfield shill
@MichaelHorstmann probably all four of them. But definitely Thomas and the two hosts of the show. I mean the two hosts of this show think Mike Ohearn is natty

and it's great seeing him talk unscripted and not on a EAT ZE CARBS!!1 show
loved the dynamic between the dom n tom.

I believe he rotates it around ...changes it up depending his goals
You’re saving lives brother. Thank you for the timestamp
This is one of the best discussions on this topic I’ve heard in a long time. Thank you.

Poliquin also recommended low carb. All good points mate
@@platogenova9573 exactly! Poliquin was a legend and 75% of all his athletes followed a low carb diet

This helped me way less to understand about building muscle on a ketogenic diet than I hoped

1.2g per Kg or Lb?
01:12:05 what thomas eats in a day
How is Tom complaining about not putting on weight when he’s eating a low fat low carb diet haha
@dom d'agostino, I am doing same with Ezetimibe. Have you looked into gene mutation ABCG8
Good stuff!
Time stamps please
Just documenting he called hay bales cow rolls 😂🤣
Thought it was like a high protein substitute for sushi rolls
Protein > fat > carbohydrates
Protein with fats, carbs optional
Carbs greater than protein and fat and fruits greater than regular carbs.
Why are carbs more important than protein? Sounds absurd @kenwang9672
You are a tool

Dude asked "before water" like tea doesnt have water in it. @1:12:31 😂
Yeah, but that tea has caffeine and it's different than plain water.

Protein and fat are fairly equal. Carbs can be a specialized spec-ops unit 😆.

Step #1: Be a fake Natty.
Let's be honest, no one thinks either of them are natty
