THANK YOU SO MUCH MADAM, for everyone who tried this method and still can not run or still get error, maybe this would help you:
1. First, you need to clear the terminal first, and then you need to close vscode from your windows.
2. After that, restart your computer and then try to make new file in your folder.
3. Don't forget to click Ctrl + S after you make console.log("hello world"); because in my case it didn't work if I'm not save it.
4. Try to open new terminal and test the node -v and node --version, if it works, then go to next step.
5. After that, try the node yourfilename and then click TAB on your keyboard.
6. DONEE, HOPEFULLY THIS WILL WORKS FOR YOU GUYS WHO STILL DIDN'T WORK.

Ahhhhhhhh!! you're a life saver! Thanks, i spent 2 to 3 hours yesterday trying to fix this and quit from irritation. What I dont understand is why it wasn't working anymore when I had been using it previously for more than a year. I never even touched it, or messed with the settings. Anyway, thanks! Also, closing the terminal at the end didn't make it work, I had to completely restart VSC and it ran flawleslly!
