Wales did print some banknotes up until 1971 I believe. They were printed by a wealthy business until he went bankrupt.

I've always loved this channel, I love traveling around the world have been to Canada, Peru, Bolivia, Russia, Italy, Vatican, France, and Spain. Collecting banknotes may seem weird to some people but truly love collecting them since the US Dollar is pretty boring. My favorite are Canadian Dollars. :) Love from - New York, USA/ Lima, Peru!!!

These banknotes are definitely incredibly cool looking! As a coin/money collector myself i would definitely want to see one of those and hopefully add into my collection (altho i’m mainly a euro coin collector i would take the opportunity to collect other currencies)
Also my uk friend gave me a paddington pound coins and it’s absolutely cute to see them!
I’m going to state the obvious here, but the presentation of these videos is something I’d genuinely expect from someone with over 1 million subscribers. You’ll get there one day!!

Here's an idea when the lockdown is lifted go to every country and collect every 1, 5 and 10 note then put them under a UV light

One of the neatest things with Scotland is that they have their own, for me personally. They don't look particularly cool like a lot of these modern ones, but it's always neat to see stuff like that. Stuff like that needs to be more a thing around the world!

Last year, I visited some family members in The Lake District and was pretty curious about the bank notes, thanks for this video!
3:10 Actually, they're both modern. Exploring both sides of modernity: Paper cut minimalism on the back and flowy hand-illustrationism at the front. The fonts do the same. In contrast to the traditionalist old calligraphy and serif fonts used in the British Pound, they use modern calligraphy and geometric-humanist sans-serif fonts.

There are still 1 Pound notes in circulation in Scotland issued by RBS, although they are quite rare to be honest. If you really want to get some crisp, new ones; your only option is a souvenir shop at John O'Groats in the far North of Scotland. They hand them out as change. I was lucky enough to get a few last year during a trip.

I did a couple of videos on the 2018 and 2019 series but I never examined these notes under UV light (as I didn't expect much). Whoah I was wrong. Dude, if I had your video making ability, there is so much I could do with banknotes. Another great video and, as usual, the production quality is first rate. May I ask how you learnt to produce such good videos? Hope you and your family are safe and well during these weird times!

Ah that's awesome - I've just actually ordered the 2018 series, not for a video but just to own them. Do you have a UV lamp? They're relatively inexpensive and definitely worth it - I got mine on amazon for £15. Thanks - I'm glad you think so. Just trial and error, imagining what would look cool and then figuring out how to film it

I thought it was interesting that the 5 has Eris, Neptune, and Uranus which as planets won't always be in the same locations in the sky. Of course the notes expire so probably will be there for the duration of the note.

These notes were printed in France with the exceptional french design with many colours
