Dr Dan, can I ask you to make a very specific video with lots of people one after another singing the middle C or E or something everyone can sing? It would be a very useful resource to hear the the differences in timbre between all the different people. You could even get two samples from each person, one with a completely cold morning voice and one with a warmed up voice. Hearing them separately in succession would be very helpful in understanding resonance, undertone, and especially timbre. I've just learned to modulate nasality into my voice and all the new sounds are amazing!

That's an interesting idea. I'll give it some thought.

VoiceLesson and yourself collaborated once on something like this, but having back to back to back to back samples of everyone could illustrate, clarify and separate elements with a short enough interval between them all.

Excellent. Thank you. I wonder if you'd consider doing a video which teaches singers WHERE and WHEN to take a breath. I painstakingly kept pausing and rewinding Alicia Key's 'If I Ain't Got You' and she LITERALLY takes a breath virtually every SECOND word. Maybe 2 or 3 times she sings a longer phrase on one breath. I've tried to copy her breath intake on that song but not doing well. I heard someone once say take a breath when there's a comma and full stop in the song. Any advice would be welcome. Best wishes.

No. Just no. Do you always sing while pinching your nostrils?
