I believe the nipper plunger is extra and not cheap. Lots of extras. 13k is soooo much money but I guess you get what you pay for. I feel 9,999 for it all would be better for a new company.
Played this today at the Northwest pinball and arcade show today and it was even better than expected. Also pre-ordered a unit with the topper and nipper add-ons today! Now I will have to decide which pin to mothball😢
Thanks for reviewing this. Its strange to see someone who loves this film more than I do, I didnt think it was possible. We purchased this today from a UK Distributor with all the extra accessories. Can't wait to get it.
Fantastic video Doug! It was a pleasure meeting you and playing Labyrinth with ya tonight and I agree with ya wholeheartedly! They absolutely nailed this machine..as far as reliability I havent seen any of there machines down the whole show and they all have been being played nonstop..great review and now i need to sell a kidney to bring it home! Lol..hope to see ya tomorrow!
Wow, this literally looks like barrels of fun. I think they nailed it, and that topper is... fantastic. Love both back glass designs, but I'm partial to the second/alternative one you showed.
Will be at expo tomorrow to give it a play. My concern was build quality due to it being a new machine, but I placed my preorder based off of your review as I’m going to trust your first impressions and hope mine reflects them tomorrow as well too.
@@cooltoy Played it today and absolutely loved it. You were right on the money with your review. I am thoroughly impressed with this offering. I think we have that makings of another great pinball maker.
@cooltoy always comes in clutch! Me and my wife are going back and forward on pulling the trigger on this gem since it's announcement. It's differently an investment. We priced everything with the topper, shipping and taxes. It would be around $12.5k which is a scary amount but damn! This pinball is so cool..😅
Yeah my wife told me to find cheaper hobbies 😂 But this machine is absolutely gorgeous and I think has a lot going for it for the price point. Definitely an investment but one that I think will pay dividends for a long time in terms of joy and entertainment

Badass rundown bro. Really enjoyed your professional take on it, especially in regards to unbiased approach. It truly does look like it’s stealing the show
Much appreciated! It's so cool to me that a new upstart can come out of nowhere in make a big splash at expo with the other big name companies. Especially with Chicago being most of these companies back yard essentially. Great time to be a fan of pinball!
@@cooltoy I completely agree! I just hope the barrels can keep delivering like Donkey Kong can (in a good way) long-term support is always something to consider with startups. But still!
We've ordered it. We have Medieval Madness, Addams Family and Circus Voltaire. Circus Voltaire is going at least to the garage to make way for this. I LOVE the movie, I made my own door knockers which are on doors in our home, and we have the worm perched up on our windowsill overlooking where the pinball will be. Can't wait to play this thing! So glad all the reviews I've seen are glowing and that it's well built.
I ordered #616 on day 1, and broke down and ordered the Topper today ;) Dream theme' One of the best movies I got to introduce the kids and nieces/nephews to!
You’ve covered a ton of pinball over the years, but I’ve never seen you so excited about a table before. Really good coverage. How spoiled will Bowie be to inherit all these cool tables😀
Thanks for the review and quick turnaround on the upload. I pre ordered last saturday the day after it was announced lol. Grew up loving the film like you. This theme hit me hard and I had to have it. Hearing nothing but positive reports from expo today makes me so happy. Now I want BOF to make a Goonies pin but I need them to wait a couple of years so I can spread out all these damn purchases lol.
I’d be stoked to see them do The Goonies! Especially if it’s given this level of detail and love by Barrels Of Fun! I’d have to sell more of my games or a kidney to buy it likely but it would be worth it I’m sure!
One thing I noticed it doesn't have is Jennifer Connelly, who played Sarah in the film. Guess they couldn't get the rights to her likeness. Also, I didn't see the Escher room, the final chamber where Sarah faces 9ff with the Goblin King. Still, this pinball looks pretty fun. Can't wait to try it.
Bc of your video I just went to flippinoutpinball and preordered Labyrinth, bought the topper and alternate backglass! You are correct about the shooter Rod..it’s a little to big for my liking so I didn’t order it. I will buy a mod that will eventually come out..thanks for the vid! You sold it to me
CoolToy, I always thank my lucky stars I ran into you "virtually" out here in cyberspace :) I haven't been this excited for a pinball machine since Godzilla (which used to be my number 1 wish to play)! I could just tell from the first gameplay teaser that Labyrinth was the real deal! Everything exuded so much perfect-ness (not a word, I know :P)! Now this might come as a shock then... I'm not a fan of the Labyrinth movie. I remember not liking it when I was a kid, but later as an adult, when the Bluray was on a deep discount sale, I bought it to give it another chance. And... I still didn't like it. BUT... The art direction of the film can never be denied! So indescribably alluring! And for someone to adapt that magical art into a medium I love, Pinball, well, count me in! Oh, there is something else I do like about the movie, actually love, the Bowie tunes. And when CoolToy, a guy who tells it like it is, says it's legit, that clinches it! And you hit it on the head (or should I say, on the top). I couldn't imagine getting this pin without the most amazing topper I'VE EVER SEEN (Mandalorian, hold my beer!)! This is a Jim Henson fever dream! Muppets move and DEEZ MUPPETS MOVE! And not only move, they're activated by game play! If I had my choice of one new real pinball machine, this is it, hands down! Labyrinth is my new number 1! And that's saying something from a guy who isn't into the movie! It's not in a realistic budget for me, but I'm so excited for you to get this FANTASTICAL machine! Oh... And Elton John just told Foo Fighters to hold its beer! What in the world is going on???!!! SO MANY GREAT PIN RELEASES! Now Godzilla has been regulated to number 3 on my list. And though the collector's laser show topper for Elton John only comes with that top tier, it blows my mind as well! So glad you got to hit the expo! Keep having an amazing time! vgv
That is huge praise from someone who isn't in love with the film for sure! I've been a Jim Henson fanboy since I was a child and never outgrew it. I'm fairly certain I can name of more Muppet characters than I can relatives of mine lol. The line for Elton John tonight was pretty crazy, mainly due to the fact they only had two on the floor to play, but it's a looker for sure. Hopefully I can check that one out sometime tomorrow without a crazy long wait.
CoolToy, Yeah, I couldn't ever imagine outgrowing the magic of Jim Henson. His contributions are timeless and I feel they speak to both adults and children alike. I used to watch the Muppet Show, and if you think about it, Elton John was on an episode of that show and that's kind of a cool happenstance (happy accident) that his Pinball Machine is launching along side Labyrinth. And to this day, I'm still in love with The Muppet Movie (with some of the most iconic tunes by arguably one of the most prolific song writers of our time, Paul Williams) and The Great Muppet Caper. I'm sending some good vibes your way to disperse the Elton John lines towards the classic pins so you can Crocodile Rock your way to some multiball! Have a great one! vgv
lol I vivdly remember convincing my mother to buy a ginormous box of plain old Cherrio's one time because it came with The Muppet Caper on DVD inside. Needless to say she was not happy when we threw out the bag of Cherrio's months later. I really tried to eat them, but man they were so bland and tasteless that I couldn't eat more than two bowls out of the hole bag.
Wish I could get it... just the price point sadly is way too much for me. If I had a better job and extra money to burn. Totally would buy. Maybe one day... :(
