I bought one of these about a month ago its really fun to fly .......but make sure you get a few extra blades I broke all mine in like two days crashing into the walls and things but now I have spares and once I learn to fly this its loads of fun,,,,,, now its time to get an upgrade
Motor cooling is one reason for the encased battery, the second reason is for weight centering. I've taken one apart and the battery is pretty well centered and locked into place. If you remove the battery or loosen it then put it back together without glue, it will move around. If that battery moves one millimeter, it translates to a great deal of drift with such a small prop span. Big quads don't notice a battery flopping around a great deal. These baby quads need that load centered and solid. Thanks for the vid. I'm unboxing my new CX-10 now.
I own Gin H7 from Tmart. It's basically the same, but with 150mah battery, bigger remote, and prop guards! Very robust also. Worth checking out.

Well I got one yesterday... and lost it within an hour!! it was outside, nice day slight breeze... now I am new so started low and slow... then all hell broke loose!! Rounded the corner of the house and the wind must have been strong and poof it was gone... saw it go up and over a house and then it was no where to be found... couldnt sync couldnt see lights as the sun went down... a sad day it was fun but sadly I am realizing I am NOT a RC guy.... thanks though, love watching this thing go! :)

it's great!!! Amazing how much fun you get in such a small price.
Getting used to the basic controls just takes some time, since I play a lot on console with controller and analog-sticks, I got used to it in just a few test-flights.
Advanced techniques require waaaay more time though, leaning into the turns for example..
It's amazing how robust this little fellow is, of course I also crashed it into the wall or the ceiling a couple of times or some rough landings but the thing just doesn't care at all. No broken wing so far (4 spare wings come in the package, which I didn't have to use yet).
The tricks (sommersaults) performed with pressing in the right analog stick are very simple to perform and a lot of fun to watch.
The three programs (beginner, intermediate, advanced) are also very helpful for getting used to it.
Flight-Duration is really about 5-10 minutes and the recharge is also very quick, about 15-20 minutes I would say.
Bottom line: GET IT!!! :D

I like to fly inside and outside because inside you can go through obstacles and work on learning the controls better. But, outside you can do more stunts and go faster.
Cool - I'm getting a few for grandkids (who also visit Ridgecrest from time to time).
My cx 10 came yesterday in mail and I don't know how to do a funnel, nice review by the way.
Forward pitch, full rudder (right or left), increase throttle to stay in the air.
Quadcopter 101 Why wouldn't you use some roll also? Based on the question, you probably won't be surprised that I have never flown one of these (or anything else) before. Thanks for the videos and blog. They are superb!

Actually you can. Or you can provide full roll and no pitch. Or you can provide full back pitch. The idea is that in reality there is no front or back on a quadcopter. It flies equally well in any direction. Keep an eye out for a video that I'll be releasing in a few days called L6052 Sideways Flier". It will show you what I mean.

Rosetta G If you buy your son bigger drones watch him because i bought a sorta big one and it has soft propellers I let my cousin use it he cut my hand deep.
I had one of these till my Dog ate it. Now I can fly my dog with the controller. Problem is the flight time went down considerably!

I've followed all your recommendations: I bought 1 minicopter, which I've broken countless times...actually I've become quite good at fixing it, I got the simulators and I've been using phoenix rc on regular basis. All this has taken longer than I expected cause shippings from China take forever to reach my country, however now I am in a better position to ask less stupid questions. First, I assume 3D flying is manual flying, right? also, I understand auto-leveling is assisted flight. What I don't get is the meaning of 3G mode, is it a special flight mode for CX-10? another question I have is can I fly using auto-leveling mode in phoenix? I've tried to set the Fmod in my devo, but it does not respond to anything I do, it just flies acro all the time. Thank you for taking the time of answering my noob questions!

Hello and thanks for the videos.I have a couple of questions.My Cheerson CX 10 seems to require more imput from the controller the lower the battery gets.Is this normal? It seems logical to me but I know very little about quadcopters and almost nothing abour radio signals.I've only been flying for a week,but I'm getting where I can control it pretty well.Have not tried any flips or fancy stuff yet.Again thanks for the videos they help a lot.
+Bobby Friend That is accelerometer drift. When it gets bad, land the quadcopter for a few seconds to let the accelerometers reset. Then take off. You may need to do this several times during the flight, especially if there is wind.

I know that you have reviewed the Pocket Drone (777-124).I have two units sitting and will not fly. The transmitter will not come on, the batteries are new the Battery posts are welded inside. Any ideas? I now have 4 transmitters--none work.
+Bud Jones Make sure that the batteries are actually touching the contact points. The top posts of some batteries may be a little too short and not actually touching the controller's metal contact points. You might try a different brand of batteries in that case. But, if you're certain that they're touching, the next step is to contact your vendor to see if they can help. If purchased from China, it's best to upload a short video showing the problem to help overcome the language barrier. And finally, if they won't help, nothing beats opening a Paypal "receipt of defective goods" dispute to make your vendor come alive with help.
Anyone having trouble with the throttle sticking at full power? Occasionally, maybe 1 out of three flights, ours will randomly stick at full throttle. We have to turn the copter off while it's spinning at full power. We've tried taking the throttle stick up then down, but it isn't helping. any ideas?

I'm so out of touch, I didn't know RC tech had developed this much. About 10 years ago, I got a really expensive electric indoor helicopter and was so dissapointed. It was so difficult to fly I rarely used it. I can't believe you can now buy such a cool quad copter for so little, I'm buying one! Looks so much fun.
So today I got this drone and it's pretty cool it works, but something is wrong, the guard for the motor like the motor guard like it makes the motor so it doesn't like Fall out, it freaking cracked because I crash it a lot but it actually cracked like the motor guard cracked and that means that I have the super glue it and I was actually going to get one of those like prop guards but it kinda already broke already, it was because of crashing into walls and stuff and I crashed it into my window and the window didn't break but the Drone cracks and I didn't even notice it until now, and if anybody can help me then that's fine

You don't change the battery between flights. You change the whole quad. At that price you can have two. And charge the other when flying.

I love my CX-10, it is so much fun to push it to the limit. It was my first quad that I bought just to try this quadcopter thing and now I have a 250 sized. I'm thinking of buying another one because mine is really beat up from learning to fly. I recommend this to everyone, especially for the price.

Looks like a great cat toy. My mothers cat loves to eat insects for somer eason. He'd have a blast chasing this. Cool video didn't expect such a long range (you call 30 m short but for a little "bee" like this it seems plenty far to me).

The most clever beautiful
You can better up the controlability of the copter by changing the original levers on the remote against aluminum rods, to give them some extra length and grip. Some guy used to sell those on ebay, I've mounted them on my controller, it's like you control that thing with a pro remote in an instant. Unfortunately, I don't find that seller any longer.
Like someone said, these are throw away quads. Once they break down it not worth it to repair. But have as much fun while they last!
The price is cheap which means if it breaks you could replace it easily if not fix it. (:

Scot Morgan I would still save more $ and time by buying a new one for $18 and getting it in less than 5 days. Once I get that, I have 2 or 3 motors from the old one plus a frame to use for the new one I just bought if that were to break down. Essentially saving, like I said more $ and time. I save 3 1/2 weeks for shipment time and time is valuable when flying quads.
i always buy spare motors and props for these tiny birds from the get go, like my hubsan x4 and my cx-10. to each their own!

Great trainer, and you can't beat the price of admission. You know, though, you're missing a bet not selling this to the James Bond movies people as the next gadget "Bond, James Bond" pulls out of his Saville Row suit between seducing strange women and killing bad guys.
I think as far as he's concerned, as long as you aren't snooping or spying on the houses below but are legitimately doing this as a fun hobby, then yeah I wouldn't be worried. He looks legitimately interested. I was thinking of buying one of these models to survey traffic or any sort of hazards that most people shouldn't go near (I encountered the result of a fatality on the road about 2 years ago around Thanksgiving time and this would be helpful for officers I'm sure so they could survey and observe what happened before and until they arrived as far as providing video evidence).

Is it better than just the normal cx10?
I just picked up a couple for $8 each brand new in the box. Not really a fan of the controller, way too small for my big ass hands.
What about crashes? Can it take a few or will it be trash after the first minor crash? I’m buying this because someone recommended getting it to learn how to fly a drone. I’m sure I will crash it more than once
