@@Sebkovy. No to be honest this is one of Kotaro’s easier arrangements and I find it easier than some of Sungha’s. The main nail attack rhythm is very consistent, once you get it down you have the majority of the song. This wasn’t the first fingerstyle song I ever learned but it was the first Kotaro one, I can see this being someone’s first if they spend a really long time with it. Different strengths for different people

For some background info, a lot of people in my middle school (in korea) were very intense about guitar (your place in the social hierachy was based on your ability to play, so a lot of us were very intense about practicing. I had about 6 months experience of guitar before starting fingerstyle, and around 8 years of general music experience. It took me around a day to memorize the sheetmusic (at the barebone fundamental level), and an additional 2-3 weeks to properly get my hands around the entire piece. I obviously did not play it to the degree of how Sungha plays it here, but I was able to get through the song without mistakes or any part sounding wrong. Maybe I just pick up instruments faster idk, music has been the main focus of most of my life anyway. I was 14 when I won the guitar competitions at all the local community music schools.

kotaro oshio is inspiration for so many people to play guitar. just like sungha jung, I want to learn fingerstyle also because of Kotaro Oshio, since first time heard song 'twilight' and 'mother'. if you gaes love sungha jung, try to listen to kotaro oshio too, highly likely you're gonna love it.
