That rush, toe drag and pass by Makar was mind-blowing. The announcers didnt even mention it (in fact the guy has the temerity to say that the play starts with Johansson), and it's excluded from all the replays. 🤨😮
The MacKinnion dance was sick, but for sure this was play of the game. MacKinnion was all the way in the D zone waiting for the drop pass and just creeps in after the goal is scored lmao. If Cale Makar stays healthy he has the potential to be the best defensemen of all time. It's a REALLY good time to be an Avalanche fan. A true contender for years to come.

One note, Bunting is so good at drawing penalties, he's a Scarborough native so I like seeing players from Ontario, specifically the GTA.

Their top end talent is as good as any in the league, and some great depth pickups in the offseason. When McKinnon decides to take over a game, or even a shift, he’s like a player possessed. And the whole kicker is sometimes there’s the question if he’s even the best player on the team. They’re scary good 😬

Carolina defence is the most overrated in NHL. AdA, Orlov and Burns too offensive and can't defend. Pesce and Skjei average at best. Chatfield < Chiarot and Myers. Only good defender Slavin is in bad form and underperfoms. They make goalies dry
