For me, when you entered form 4, there's no thing such as first class or second class anymore. It's just like a different course class just like the college or university but the people's mentality always said that the science class is the first class just because most of the smartass kids were in that class. The teachers always have higher expectations, so much pressure to endure. However, not all of the pure science stream kids are clever. Some of them are just worse than kids from other streams. I said what I said. Think about it thoroughly and never be afraid to change your stream. Make sure that your decision won't make you regret by the end of the day.
this is so true. When i was form 4, my counselor put me in art class and he never kutuk ke caci or whatever because for him, every class is same. Its only me who wanted to change class haha but alhamdulillah i didnt make it. :) No kelas atas or kelas bawah anymore.

OMG TRUE! i sacrificed my friendship bc i don't want to join them in the sc class... im soooo bad at maths so i don't want to get myself in trouble. i asked them to change stream masuk art stream but they don't want to bc they have the stereotypes of art stream being unsuccessful and bad :) i got really upset so i studied really hard during ujian 1 and my result is higher than them even tho i still failed at maths it's better than them.. im so happy with what i achieved and im gonna prove them i can get straight A in spm :)

when im in form 3,i really really like science even im not score in the subject. and when im in form 4,im going to the science stream. for the first exam,my result was so so bad and my mind was like its okay,u can do better than this. after a few months,i was so freakin stressed. i kept crying and crying and i decide to change my science stream to the arts stream. even sayang tapi terpaksa bcs i cant do it. kawan i pun macam tu. so we met the counselor and told her that we wanted to change our stream but i dont really really really know why only one of us can change the stream like yang selebihnya tak boleh. i felt so sad bcs i need to face of the difficult for 2 years. crying was like my habits every second i got the result. now i already got my spm results. honestly i felt so bad but im a bit satisfied bcs my addmath tak failed wuhuu. i target 5As but i just got 3As. i target BI A tapi takde rezeki and i terkejut bcs i pernah lulus chemistry sekali je and bila dapat result,i got B+. actually i careless masa jawab exam chemistry hari tu,so sad tapi what can i do? redha je laa kan

I took the art stream along with science stream in spm this year without my parent's approval to show I'll never ignore my own talent. They didn't want me to focus on my passion for art and always forgot about my artworks. But thankfully my parents are trying to be more accepting since I did what I did. Wish me luck to face the judging teachers at my school until my spm in january yeah? ❤️💐 Lol

And I also hope there will be changes in the future, and to cut the stereotype on "arts stream are dumb" it's definitely not. I'm taking Arts stream for STPM. I was placed in Sci 2 previously. But I'm happy with my decision. I know I can't cope with sci subjects since I'm not interested in them. And I never regret it since. Anyways, great video. Im a form 4 student and I took science stream since my previous school, yes, I moved to mrsm few months ago. Learning science stream in English was really hard for me at first as I learned in bahasa melayu in my previous school. But as time passes, I realised I could make it happen and I always score high mark. The only problem is I'm lazy sometimes huhu,. So my point is, choose what you love, jgn ikut kwn or anything, you know what's right and what's wrong for you. And if you love what you do, trust me if you do it with all your heart and soul, you'll make it 💓 Pray for me so I can get straight A's for spm next year

Stem for 6 months was stressful and sleepy for me cause I didn't understand any and failed all 4 stem subjects🤣. Change the stream by myself, no one followed me, alhamdulillah top in the school plus beat those in science stream yeahh sweet and no stress.
And yeahh art stream friends is more sporting and gangster sometimes.
And I don't want to say this but, those stem student who change to art stream tend to excel on it. Yeahh maybe they had enough in stem stream, alah bisa tegal biasa

I was in science stream, but funny enough I enjoyed bio and chemistry but HATED add maths and physics. In SPM I got Cs for those two, but 8As for the rest hahahaha. Also I took perakaunan on top of my science subjects and enjoyed it so much! I think exploring different subjects should be the norm after form 3, there should not be a this way or the other way - students should be given choice to find their strength and passions

I take science stream, but also take arts. So far I enjoy it a lot although I need to go home a little late because I'm taking arts ALONE. I need to study alone, but it is less stressing because the teachers aren't really pressuring ❤
i'm from the 06 batch (and kssm kid unfortunately :') ) and couldn't really ask anyone for advice on entering art stream since everyone around me either graduated from science stream or dropped out from secondary school, plus the counselors at my current school are admittedly not the best at giving advice (they'd convince you to either join science stream or crush your self-esteem under their heels LMAO), so this video definitely helped a ton!! thanks so much, lots of love from johor
uyy same 06 batch jugak ! :D which stream did u choose ? nak cite sikit aa alkisah yang terjadi masa bulan 3 haritu(sblum bukak skolah) . tbh memang i want to join art stream and my mom pon kata boleh kalau nak masuk art stream. astu haritu cikgu bagi la link google form for all form4 students(batch 06) , for us to choose which stream we want la en. and obviously i choose art stream la cause i suka lukis lukis walaupun karyaku tidak begitu cantikk . plus kelas yang i choose ni ada subjek sains komputer + reka cipta and i waktu f1 f2 n f3 dulu pon memang belajar sains komputer so why not la i choose that class en. astu ada suatu ketika tu cikgu kaunselor kate nak buat gm for bagi penerangan la about aliran ni(but mostly cikgu cakap kelebihan science stream je, sedih akuu :'(( ) . astu ntah camne ku terhasut dari ceramah cikgu tu huhu. so i ask my caunselor teacher la boleh ke kalau nak tukar nak msuk science stream and she said yes . bila i tried to do physics exercises yang cikgu bagi en, ya allah. berlinang air mata weyh . ttibe regret mintak tukar kelas huhu. tapi nasib baik la cikgu tu bagi masuk kelas seni balik , kalau tak merana dah :').

I'm kinda late to this but here's my advice. As for me, going to science stream form 4 & form 5, changing to art stream at form 6 really shows its difference. I study almost every day till midnight like 3-4 am when I'm in science stream thus I'm really stressed back then. However, it's not that art stream is easy but for me, it's easier compared to science stream. Here's a quick advice, if you really have a dream ambition and it involved science stream, go ahead but if you're clueless like me, try science stream for 2 exams(until the mid-term). If you're result is all c to F, try and change it to art stream, it already proof you're not suitable for science. Hope this helped 🥰
Its the end of year now and I'm thinking to change my class from science stream to art since I'm very weak in subjects like math,add math,chem and physics.Do you think its too late to change my class now?
@@hynx2935 i don't think it's late yet as for my friends do that at the end of f4. even if you change it later in f6 or diploma, it's not late.
@@zzyyss01 I know my ability.I'm not good enough to be a science stream student.Even people from other stream do math better than me.I really want to change my class but I'm afraid I will not be able to catch up the subjects in my new class although that its easier than subjects in science stream class.But If I don't change my class,I'm afraid it will effect my spm result.
@@hynx2935 from my experience, it is easier in art stream compare to science stream in terms of the subject taken. I think that science stream requires a lot of memorization of scientific terms which makes me difficult but for art stream, there's still some memorization but it is easier to memorize since there's not much of memorization needed. When I'm in science stream , I used to sleep around 4-5 am but when I changed to art stream, I sleep better, less stress and there's less competitive among my peers compared to science stream
@@hynx2935 no its not babe, i just changed to art stream on january 2022. i already wasted like a year but it was worth it bc it helps curing my mental health since i keep crying myself to sleep thinking that i failed all the stems subjects… my personal advice here, do what’s good for your mental health

I dont know its because of their ‘age’ or they are a bit cautious or what but they have that typical mindset about schools and results. Your story kinda same like me. I was in science stream class because of my PT3 result and because my parents want me to follow my sister's path.(lah sangat) So I just go with the flow lah. But the thing is I really really really love Biology BUT! I'm very lazy at studying it. Always sleep during Bio class. (Sis bercita-cita nak jadi Pharmacist kut). Sampaikan result SPM i Addmath lagi tinggi dari Bio. (I'm not gonna tell my Bio result because u might think that I'm annoying and tak bersyukur). And then I sambung belajar dekat Kolej Matrikulasi Labuan for a year and took Modul 2. And now I'm a 2nd year university student and took engineering course. Ok I tak pernah terfikir pun nak ambil course ni. Ambil ni pun sebab my parents. Susah yes memang susah. Tapi percayalah, bila kau buat sesuatu untuk parents kau Allah akan permudahkan semuanya. BTW, I'm 20 years old😆

i watched this when i was choosing my stream as a form 3 student with science stream in mind, now im almost finish with my form 4, waiting for exam to enter form 5, just saying that im so glad i didnt get into science, i got computer science as my main and never thought ill be into it so much that im thinking of making it as my future career, just know that what you want isnt always the best for you and dont be dissapointed if you didnt get it cuz allah always have other plans for you, just try your best and follow the flow, thank you dina!
In my stituation last year i was get into acc class, but i don't good at math, acc and counting subject. So i decided to drop the acc subject into visual art. So i happy with my decision cause I more interested into art stream. My elective subject is bis,sport science, and art.

i saw this video of yours earlier this year, and made up my mind to change to art stream but unfortunately my teacher told me to sit for one exam first just to see if i can cope with science stream. but PKP happened so i couldn’t change my stream and when i came back to school last week my teacher rejected my letter saying it’s too late :( i’m so sad and unmotivated, i really don’t wanna stay in this stream

@@hawa6452 my school offers four different classes in stem and each class has their own electives (e.g class 1 takes physics, bio, chem, addmath / class 2 takes bio, chem, acc, addmath) and my previous class was the pure science stream. sadly i couldn’t change to art stream since my principal refused to sign the approval letter LMAO but i did managed to change to another class in stem that offers computer science instead of the three science subjects! i was really happy and the workload was way more tolerable than when i was in pure science class. but don’t let my experience scare you. i never planned to further my studies in stem, that’s why i dared to drop my science subjects but if you are planning to major in anything science related then the best option is to take aliran sains! what is your ambition, how well did you coped with math and science in lower form, etc these are the questions you can ponder on while deciding. if your school lets you change stream then you should definitely try for science stream first to see how well you can adapt/adjust. all the best to you~
@@luna-di3wr i see, glad to know that u were doing well in the new class! last month i couldnt decide to take stem or acc but thankfully i talked with my brother and he helped me throughout the process of deciding. ur advice helped me a lot too, so thanks for that! in the end, i chose acc + eko + addmath class since my science result for pat is pretty bad and im not planning to major in science related too. though im gonna be pretty much alone there since all of my close friends chose other classes ahah. but ill try my best to fit in with the new crowd ^--^

I want to be in accounts but my mom wanted me to be in science stream so I just went in science stream. And now I'm taking more extra subjects (only science stream students can take those subjects) that really made me cry because we finished our extra classes at 5.10 pm. I even persuaded my parents to drop the extra subjects because i can't hold that much subjects. I almost failed in those extra subjects. I tried asking the penolong kanan to drop my subjects but she told me to wait until mid exams or akhir tahun exam. Thank you kak Dina for this video!!💓💓

I talked to my family about this matter, but they didnt let me to change to the art stream. They started to compare me with my friends which most of them are taking sci stream too! Arghh, srsly almost everyday im crying n stress a lot since im scared and cannot understand anything in the class.

we are suffering the same thing..however i dont take acc sbg subjek elektif so i still continue my studies for bio,physics ,chemistry and add maths..the first 3 months being a sc stream students is like okay...but when PKP started and until the school is opened,i really really 'amazed' with those kind of subject because i don't understand any single things that my teacher taught us in our class,especially add maths
And before the mid term exam..just because of my aad maths teacher wants to finish in 3/4 chapters that will come out in exam..she has increase her speed in the class😂so now i dont think i will pass bio,chemistry,physics and add maths for this exam

We have to choose either one of them. I have to choose acc, and eventhough acc is a bit hard, but why not when u are truly love them and maybe tc are anti with bdk acc but we as bdk acc are always give our best in studies and examination:) just people dont know how we felt

Kenak lah lambat gilak dina tok muncul 😭 I’ve suffered in my SEMI SCIENCE stream last time. I got nyawa nyawa ikan for my physics, addmaths and chemistry and I regret my decision alot for staying. I should’ve listened to myself before, but at that time semua org mcm noo dont move to art side, you’ll get better over time. But no, sikda jiwa lgsg masa study science subjects. So i ended up with bad results for that 3 subjects 😖 I knew i can do better if i take art stream, but just because of that mind set, “dah masuk science kenak lah mok tukar art? Syg eh.” That gai mind set made my spm result jaik 😢

Too late😔 , im in my form 5 this year and my school only allow us to take extra subject or change class before ujian bulanan satu..i memang minat art but at the same time i love biology as well but i realized that i was having a hard time with the other science stream subject (i still considered as average but it still tough for me)when the time passes by and now i feel bad for not taking art stream but at the same time my mom might disagree with my choice if i were to choose art stream

you are younger than me. but i wish i am ur junior and found this video. Yup. I thought my school je yg bias when it comes to Science and art kid. Bila dh masuk uni, looking back, its very immature of me to believe the stereotype of the sc/art students. and school didnt help either to kill the stereotype. Yela, faham, science stream considered to be harder than art. and kalau boleh school dont want students ramai² tukar aliran senang² je since goverment nk more science student ratio than art. but still. education system kita ade pros and cons. pros dia many science kids is produce which helps in developing country which focus on industrial 4.0. but the cons is tula, budak ade yg x minat. tpi takut nk tukar stream sbb all those stereotypes. pastu dh masuk uni, kinda regret asal la aku amik sc stream, skrg aku kena amik engineering kt uni. As much as I support gov, Its also important to give the freedom to people to decide their stream. not fair. but theres silver lining.
You really good at explaining this non of the teachers talked about this, all they say is "you should go to science class" for my experience since im in science stream now i kinda regret (i was put in science stream not i want to be in). For juniors out there pls choose wisely

I can understand what you're talking Irdina.. Because, form 3 I joined a new school and they put me in a lower grade class. Now, I'm form 4. I'm in science stream. I can feel the difference in my teachers too. Before this, my teachers were rough and firm. And now, they're soft.
But, in my school, teachers more kind and caring towards account student than science students. They even help in exam to make them score high. Like, literally giving them *soalan bocor*.
Now, my classmates and I redha je. Nak buat apa pun tak jadi dah 🥺😭
