Special paper is NOT required! Standard origami paper 15cm x 15cm works well too! But if you want to make a really special tsuru I recommend DELUXE WASHI. This is a beautiful thin paper with a golden side and it keeps the shape very well. www.origami-shop.com/fiche_article.php?ref=8&products_id=2037&affiliate_banner_id=1
Thanks Jo (Hope i May call you Like this...) I m watching your Videos now for a Long Time ! Last year i Sold some Origami on a street-market (German word: Flomarkt i don't know the correct english Word for it...) And i gave some short easy lessons to those who where Interested... (Sorry for my Bad english... I m from Germany and i m still in Collage...)
Let meh take it up a notch “Cranes are the most basic, easy and boring origamis Jo Nakshima:excuse me *and continues making a huge convo drawing attention on how to make a “basic and easy and boring” origami into a beautiful majestic decoration that flaps!
Your tutorials are actually one of the few that doesn't make me impatient. I mean, watching a full video before starting folding is usually totally impossible, but just looking at that awesome paper and such precise work on it... Can't. Stop. Watching.
I made this yesterday with foil glued to kami by slowing down the preview by 0.25x. i got an excellent result. Keep up the good work Jo! I love how the model looks like the crane's fancier cousin.
Edit: Nevermind, i figured it out. Jo, your videos are cool, but i'd like if you did some not easy to understand moments (like in 14:26) with a better angle. I know i'm asking too much. Maybe its just my skills are bad, but i think that would make life much easier for more people.
Jo Nakashima - Origami Tutorials and there's the quick reply to my comment again! I appreciate how you respond to comments so quickly, even on old tutorials!
I know this point it's been six years since you uploaded this video, so I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't read this but your origamis are so anesthetic and cool 😮😊
Fine design Jo and good diagramming as usual. The graceful wings are the best part and the narrow pleat folds are good practice before attempting something like the American Eagle.
Wow! I have been watching your videos since day one! I’m subscribed, and the notifications are on. It is great how you ended up here! Hope everything is doing nice for you!
Someone pls help with the bit at 25:40 where you fold up the tail. I can't figure out how to fold it up without creasing all the other parts. The camera angle is SO ANNOYING!
my arts teacher said that i had to make an origami crane for an exhibition and i was like why, i can make so much more, but she insisted so i ended up making this and she was so angry. LOL
Buenas Jo Nakashima! Te sigo desde hace varios años y siempre me ha gustado tu forma de hacer los videos , ¿podrías hacer mas animales como el oso o un buho mas eloborado por favor? Un saludo desde España, Gracias por tus videos.

How you fold is so relaxing and clear and ASMR
tip: use black and white paper or gold and white paper. start with the white side for nice results
Edit: Nevermind, i figured it out.

14:56 so bad
¿Can i do this with a 10x10cm paper?
I think so if it's a very good thin paper, but I recommend at least 15cm
Thanks for answering me, ¿Do you know if a note paper will work?
Dirty Brother Killer. Read description. Not special paper is required but use at least 15.15 cm for best result.
It's beautiful tho
wow that's very very nice job!
Thanks!
Wow💞❤️🥰
