@@davedave5787 I covered much of the plastic tubing, etc. with a heat-sheath cloth to hopefully keep them lasting longer in my bi-turbo which produces lots of heat. Hope it works.
I think this promo video is an advert … “The first motorcar in the world to have an engine with two overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder was the 1912 Peugeot L76 Grand Prix race car designed by Ernest Henry” Slight of speech, Benz didn’t create 4-valves per cylinder… just say’n
YEP, NOT a word about the M177 LS2 engine REAR MAIN SEAL LEAKS at around 40,000-45,000 miles. The Mehle oil separators are clogging and creating excessive crankcase pressures. A 27 hour $10,000 repair putting the SAME Mehle oil as the replacement! CRICKETS at AMG about the issue.
Germany has the finest craftsman in the world , they have the best Trade schools, they start when they are in high school. They know it is there craftsman that propel there economy.
Basically a 32 Minute Advert for how Awesome AMG Engine are apparently. (They talk like they hold some record for highest power density or HP/Litre, When they are far from the highest power density engines) Toyota Holds that Record of 300HP/Litre.
31:26 "regular replacement of spark plugs and fuel injectors " yea replacing fuel injectors regularly is great idea !! and a catch can , i wonder what the EPA has to say about that??
For such a fancy engine, at the end, they talk about replacing plastic pulleys with metal ones. Why aren't metal pulleys installed in the first place if these engines are so special?
The problem is that after about 80K there are numerous issues that makes the cost of ownership too expensive, hence the drop in the car prices. In simple do not buy a mercedes with over 80kms
that's why after two-three years Mercedes is a money pit. The Japanese are the car experts, they can build a bullet-proof car that last more then twenty years
Hey, I bought an Audi A4 2.8, the one with five valves per cylinder in 1989. I still drive every day. The car has been well maintained. It is 25 years old, and I live in Canada, with its harsh climate etc. Sure, the Japanese cars are very good but be more objective, please.

Are you saying you would buy one if they were not so expensive to run? I think that's the point, don't you? The people who DO buy them, DON'T find them "expensive" to run. They merely find the costs "appropriate" "commensurate" "unremarkable" "expected", given that they are advanced, well engineered machines...
Incredible engineering applied to an engine that is barely 50% efficient. Someday, automotive manufacturers will have to comply with climate rules by removing the “four stroke sex” from engines. No more “screaming” at high revs - boring.
These are made no differently to the many other engines mercedes produces ie rubbish. Its the very reason 90% sell on their ticking time bomb before the warranty runs out. In any case 'AMG' is now no more than a trim level. Even a C220cdi comes with AMG badges..
With the entry of EVs and the stringent emission controls, looks like all these IC engines will soon become extinct? Also, the emergence of humanoid robots, like Figure 01, will soon render 'personalised' work redundant, as robots will be doing ALL work meticulously, with no need for 'specialised' lines anymore 🤔
Mercedes Engines are only assembled in China, not produced. AMG engines are Imported. Have you ever seen a Chinese name over an AMG engine? What rubbish!
I strongly doubt that they're making millions of those engines a year, I doubt that they make millions of cars a year at AMG !!!!

But staggering 400 employees!
This could have been a good video but I could only take so many camera shutter clicks and childish bouncy pictures. I bailed after five minutes.
I agree, the music also drove me nuts…….had to go
Why an Audi at 6.40?.?.
The person who edit the video, don't know much about cars.
Owned a few AMG GL63 and G63/55 SUVs…. Always got rid of them prior to the manufacturers warranty expiring lol
At 6:50 is not a Benz but an Audi RS7 😂 … it is still an excellent video.
@6:40 😊 …. yeah; very strange.
The photo clicking within the video is very annoying

I'm here for information not that
Talks about AMG, shows pictures of Audi 🤣🤣🤣🤣
To bad the rest of the car, Especially the electrical systems aren’t as meticulously engineered
Well I’m on my second AMG and I think they’re awesome.
