    Hi there all my fellow RC scartch-builders DemonDriver AKA Chris here showing you how I use a rotary fabric cutter to cut thick balsa sheet and depron, using this tool helps prevent tearing of the balsa wood and makes it much easier to cut

    Tip, glue wet or dry sandpaper to the underside of your steel rules, they’ll stay in place far better while you cut along the edge.

    Olfa make them Chris,I agree they are superb for cutting balsa.
    I worked out of a shipping container for 5 years away from my home,I used a generator to run my saws and tools,it was ideal.
    For storing models you need to vent them as heat build up inside causes dampness,DIY shops sell vents that can be glued to the units.
    Dont forget to get an industrial hacksaw blade Chris to use as a cutting edge,the staggered teeth automatically grip the material being cut.

    It's funny I was watching my wife doing some quilting and she was using a rotary cutter and I took one from her and I use it all the time as well 😊👍👍 😎. Never thought of doing a video on it though. You are a ground breaker on that 😉

      I'm grateful Sir, this rotary cutter does really zip through balsa like nothing else.

    Using metal rulers dull rotors cutting blades quickly, if you watch the ladies cut material they use strait edges which are plastic. Keeps the razor sharp edge sharper longer.

    How about trimming a little plastic off of the rotary tool to increase its cutting thickness?

      @@F3HDemonDriver1 i was like heck, Chris has expanded. If you had tho, i was gonna pick your mind about working out of a storage joint because its what im looking into now.

    • @F3HDemonDriver1
      @F3HDemonDriver1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I rent out 3 storage units and I sometimes do some work in one of them, like painting or making a random video like this, But you can work in a storage unit so as long as the manager of the unit or storage company allows it, some large storage companies don't.
