The first Japan born kpop singer was Ayumi Lee debut in 2001 in Sugar (SM entertainment). She is zainichi (ethnic Korean 4th generation Japanese). Her Japanese accent was her charm. In the mid 2000s after her group disbanded, she returned to japan, shaved her head, changed her name to Iconiq and didn’t publicly speak Korean or mention she was a kpop star. A few year ago, she returned to Korea to try acting career. She speaks much better korean than when she was in her 20s.

Mashiro is really an intelligent person because the way she knows a lot about Korean phrases and is Level 6 in Topik (which is highly advanced Korean btw) is so good. I hope people will find more bout her and her group Kep1er!!

Mashiro is really an intelligent person because the way she knows a lot about Korean phrases and is Level 6 in Topik (which is highly advanced Korean btw) is so good. I hope people will find more bout her and her group Kep1er!!
Mashiro's Korean is extremely good for her being a Japanese member of a K-pop group, but Sakura and Tsuki are not too far behind either~

マシロちゃん涙目で話してるの辛すぎアイズワンを思い出して嗚咽止まらんかった。マシロちゃんの表情、喋るはやさから強がって不安なのがわかる。いつでもそばにはいられなくて支えられないけどいつもマシロちゃんのことを愛してマシロちゃんのことで悩んで、悲しんで、デビューしたとき自分のことのように喜んだ人がいるから、どんなマシロちゃんでも、いつになってもみんなは全力で応援するよ。もちろんアイズワンも今も大好きだし。

@@ravenantt the debut of izone and the sudden breakup are definitely 2 defining moments in kpop. They were at one point more popular than blackpink and twice. And the breakup of the group gave rise to some of the best girl groups of 4th gen and high profiled soloists.
