- The team and I were hard at work today planting the rest of our foundation plants and tapestries. Hannah, Kev, and Mel all helped with the tapestries. Gordon and Greg worked on irrigation and lighting. The rock tomorrow is going to take this installation up another notch! Coral reef in full effect! You are really showing how similar arid deserty plants and ocean reef plants are look alikes and it's wonderful.
i have only just discovered the cactus/succulent obsession/addiction about 5 months ago, a 40 y.o male that had never been interested in gardening and now i have gone absolutely crazy on cacti and have around 200 variations now and maybe 50-60 different succulents, i live in New Zealand and everything grows great here, i must admit since i ran across your channel a month ago, i have binge watched alot of your content and its a wealth of information and great ideas and tips, keep up the great work, AND DAMN this arrangement looks good so far :)

A coral reef succulent garden is my dream. I will have to start collecting my own succulents to keep me going until then. I’m in love with this installation and can’t wait to see it all done.

this is absolutely stunning. probably one of my favourite gardens you've done so far (and that is high praise because every garden you do is great).
The instillation is like a firework show, it's so colorful!! If only it was warm enough in Virginia to have that much variety..
Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the lava rock. One of them looks just like a giant clam shell.

I just love how as you as you change the angle of view, it’s all still so dynamic! Usually the garden is best viewed from one or two areas, but this just ebbs and flows in such an incredible way 💕💕💕

Looking spectacular! What is the big cactus thing called that looks like waves? I must have one! A baby one, of course.. That big one is probably a $600 plant, at least..
If not. Do you have recommendations? And/or do you have a preferred nursery? Again, I’m in Orange County, and Lowe’s is not cutting it for me....lol

Question: Is it damaging to trim roots after removing the succulent from its nursery can? I read that I should clean off the dirt around the roots with water then leave the succulent to dry for a few days before planting, Is this also damaging to the succulent?

It’s a euphorbia. Unsure of variety. It’s part of the clients extensive collection of plants😊
