This worked just now on a 2011 Cruze. I ordered 2 uncut fobs off eBay for $14. The Chevy dealer cut my keys for free today, I think because they don’t want to be at fault if they don’t work.. anyways it cost me $14 from having no key to being back on the road. Tysm I did this by myself and I didn’t cut the new key I just opened up the old key and took it off and placed it on my new key 👍🏽 and then I reprogram the key like u said in the video❤️

Tried this on my 2017 Cruze and it worked. I ordered a blank key online for about $50, then took it to a local hardware store to have it cut for $25. According to other sites, this procedure will render all other keys non-functional. If you have a 2nd key you want to use, once you finish the above procedure, remove 1st key, insert 2nd key, turn to on, then back to off. The 2nd key will now also be programmed. I originally had 2 keys, lost one, bought a new one, then reprogrammed the new key plus the remaining original key using this procedure. After each key was done the information center reported "1 key has been reporgrammed" then "2 keys have been reporgrammed".
There is one final step to clear the service theft deterrent system massage. Once the new key is programmed, put the old key back in and turn it to the run position. This will clear the service theft deterrent system message when using the new key. It worked on a 2019 Chevy Cruze.

The lights all come on normally on the dash etc. But when I turn it to start it then it doesnt start. I put in a new starter and that wasn't it. Everything tests good fuses/relays, fuse block are all testing good. Thinking either it lost the codes or I have a problem with the ignition ? I might try this if it will work with my two keys I have always had.

The problem is all the videos I watched to program this new fob shows a KEY to reprogram but I have a push button start. I haven't seen any videos on reprogramming the fob that way.. is there a way to do it ?
It worked on a 2015 chevy cruze. I did it just like in the video. Only difference the alarm goes off for each round. I started the first round and set a timer. Then I would get out and shut the door for each round. I would re-enter the car 30 sec before and then repeat for the full 3 rounds. The alarm goes off for each round. Which is confusing at first. The alarm will shut off after the last round and the dash will clear

No - after you program the first key using this procedure then program the seconds key with the "add a key". You can find the add a key procedure in the description box of this video

I would recommend going off of the time rather than the security light. If that does not work there may be an issue with the key you are trying to use.

You changed the key blades but the transponder, the part that needs to be programmed, is still inside of your old key. Try holding your old flip key as close to the ignition as possible while you try start it with your new flip key. Once the vehicle is started and the alarm is deactivated - try turning the car off and then programming the new key as shown in the video

The remote needs to match you vehicles options, so if the vehicle doesn't have remote start then the remote start fobs wont work

The remote portion should program at the same time as the key portion so I think you may have a problem with the Flip-key itself.

If you have antilock notification can you still program?
it depends on what is causing the antitheft mode - sometimes that will prevent programming and sometimes it will not
