I am so glad I didn’t allow the negativity to stop me from watching this episode. I thought the houses were lovely, the couple were very gracious, and willing to look at what was offered. The fact they didn’t find the perfect home does not reflect in any way upon the host, the houses, or escape to the country. 42:54
I don’t understand the negative comments. I thought the couple were entirely appropriate. They asked for a large home with a nice garden near or in a town. They didn’t want a remote farm with acreage away from the town. If they want to be involved in the community, run a business and do their hobbies, having to learn to manage multiple acres is a little/a lot daunting.
I started rolling my eyes after
13 minutes 😖
Stunning countryside, beautiful homes and gracious host. 10/10
Exactly what I thought!
It's funny how Brits will call an 8 x 10 room (with no closet) a double bedroom, but a 20 x 20 kitchen is "small."
Have you seen videos of New York City apartments? Ridiculous!
@@angelbulldog4934 Yes, but like London, apartments in a major city are a whole different world from large homes in the suburbs and countryside.
It must be hard on the presenters working with people who are clearly not serious buyers.
I’m not sure you can say they were not serious buyers. If I had that kind of money to buy my forever home I would not settle for looking at only three houses! And I would want to walk into a house and get ‘that feeling’. Because when I get ‘that feeling’ about a place, I can compromise.
House # 1…..kitchen……”it’s not a bad size”…..🤔really? House # 1 is beautiful imho.
The garden alone 🥰
Yes was stunning
Difficult people to please! You have a great game face, Nicki! With extra land, couldn't you rent it out?
Nicki is awesome.
Nicki you are awesome! All properties were lovely. House #1 would be my pick....inside and out incredible! I would have made an offer on the spot! Hope the buyers have found what they are looking for.
Viewers are only seeing what is shown on screen. If one is making judgements based on that alone, then one should also consider the fact that it's not easy to make lifetime decisions based on only 3 choices. Having said that, it's also not easy to choose something just because it "looks" good. Decisions are based on more than looks. We should not pass judgement on the buyers.
I absolutely agree!
👍👍👍 Real full episode including end credits. Every episode of Escape To The Country should be of this audio, visual and editing quality.
Loved the first house- by Selkirk , possible B and B, loads of land etc
The need for enormous rooms befuddles me . Are they having 30 people over everyday? If they did , would they all be expected to be in one room always ?
If you’ve never lived in or owned a house with large rooms, you wont understand until you do. I liken it to flying first class Vs economy - you get to the same destination but the difference is significant. Once you have large rooms, you don’t want to go back to economy seating.
Great to see you nikki hope your keeping better ❤
This is 2017.
Why, was she unwell?
I honestly do not care for these 2. All the houses have been absolutely beautiful
I thought the very same thing about these 2!!!
I wouldn't like to have such a large house to clean. Maybe they were going to hire a housekeeper. Then there's managing the land/garden and the business that they were expecting. When would they have time for their personal pursuits???
2nd house is lovely. Would be happy to live in that.
What is with this couple? All three homes were spacious, especially the kitchens. This is in sharp contrast with the couple from 18: 47 who were looking in the $250,000 range who seemed so grateful with each house. Maybe these people would be happier in a castle. Sorry for the snark.
Greymares tails is just outside Moffat Scotland, it has x3 tarns on the top of the mountains. It has had several earthquakes over the last several years
First property is not suitable for decent B&B, you need en-suite in every letting room. Second is a bit better, but the mystery house is stunning having probably been a hunting lodge.
What is wrong with flat land?
all were fab ..... but none an the outskirts of a town or village
This couple really did not know what they wanted. They should have travelled around FIRST and then seen Nikki not the other way around. Wasting Nikki’s as well as the viewers viewing pleasure with kind of snooty / posh (her) remarks.
Nikki: you did very well and more than met their brief. - a true professional !
great outfit during the printing press bit - way to go nicki !
Too small, too big, too remote! They just wanted some TV coverage. Stay in Brussels.
House #1 Typical Georgian - boxy rooms, not bad...eh.
House #2 It's pink! 😝 bigger rooms. "It has potential" which means it'll cost you a packet to fix up.
Mystery House out in the boonies, the closest village has population signs back to back! (Very small)
Liked house 1 and 2. 3 was a bit remote
They must be french:/
Not one of the 3 properties were adequate. The first 2 exteriors were depressing. Although all 3 properties had a few nice exceptions, i wouldn’t choose any of them. Not for the amount they’re planning to spend. I think they did a poor job choosing property to show this couple. Again, as a former realtor, I personally think this was embarrassing.
The realtor doesn't listen to the buyers. If you have a B&B you should have bathrooms and bedrooms (close together). I also agree with you about depressing.
I DON'T CARE FOR THIS HOST BLOND NICKIE. She pushes for respose to EARLY & Often.
snobs
You can see the waterfall from the car park
