- Es la canción insignia de Édith Piaf. La letra habla de un hombre del que está enamorada y de las sensaciones que le produce cuando la abraza o cuando le susurra «palabras de amor» y de cómo todo ello hace que sus «penas se vayan».
Édith Piaf popularizó la canción en 1946. Inicialmente, los compañeros de Piaf y su equipo de compositores no creían que la canción sería un éxito, pero se convirtió en un favorito del público. Un documental de 1998 sobre Édith Piaf se intituló La vie en rose, lo mismo que la película biográfica de 2007 (La Vie En Rose, con la que Marion Cotillard recibió un Oscar a la mejor actriz por retratar a Piaf en la película desde la edad de 19 años hasta su muerte, a los 47.

Kia Renee What? That isn't how it is translated. It's all wrong. The word "she"(Elle) isn't in the song it is "Il" spelled I L which means "he", for starters. Edith did an English version which isn't a word for word translation but best conveys the meaning of the song in English. A verbatim translation won't make sense because of the differences in sentence structure. I believe the English version was also sung by Edith.

there are a few you tubers who have actually sang this, Maybe you can contact them and find out but also the lyrics are online if you could contact anyone France maybe they could help you with the pronunciations. French is a tricky language the spellings and the sounds don't match or you could just sing it in English ive seen this done too
