Mont -Saint - Michel in Normandy is a must in France xx
Just found you guys lately. Best thing on TH-cam as far as we are concerned. The USA road trip beats anything on mainstream TV. The vlogs are multi-dimensional, cover everything from tech to wax melts, family, travel and building a camper van better than commercially available ones. All superbly presented and thought through. Never seen the Stockyards before, Charleston etc. Seen Brid and Beverley before and its nice to see from your perspective. That Christmas in the lodge should be on BBC on Christmas day. Its good enough.
I'm sure there's much more to your lives, but the vlogs convey a completely wonderful life style with holiday after holiday. Most of us can only dream of possibly one holiday a year if we're lucky. I wish I could fast forward your Florida trip as I'm really looking forward to the European van tour.
Just grow old disgracefully, it’s being distinguished to have grey hair. I’m nearly 61 and have the speckled look. Growing old is an honour denied to so many and as you keep saying every day is best, so grab it by both hands and stop stressing the little things like grey hair.
Well said
I like the grey in the sides of your hair, it’s distinguished, there comes a time when really black hair isn’t realistic any more , not saying you’re there quite yet but it comes to us all.
Just to let you know the MPC app can be used at MCO airport with Virgin as the shuttle take you to airside B, we totally skip the line
Bit of a sentimental vlog for me tonight seeing you guys at north landing. It was my dad’s funeral 18 months ago and we took the collection to the RNLI Station there. Also scattered his ashes from Flamborough cliffs as we used to holiday there xxx
Guys, if your going to La Rochelle there are a few places around the area that are really worth a visit:
Put du Fou - a medieval theme park for all ages (absolutely brilliant)
Le Man - race car museum and brilliant go karting track
When in Rome - you can buy a red bus pass which allows you to jump on and off at all the main attractions, also, keep your valuables zipped away well (pick pockets etc!)
When you go to Rome, book a Skip The Line tour of the Vatican. Worth the money to not have to wait in the long lines (up to a 3 hour wait at times) and you get a guided tour with headsets.
In Barcelona be sure to book tickets to La Segrada Familia!
Great video! Homecomin’ saves seats for walk ups, we were able to put our name in and got a table after a 15 minute wait. Definitely worth a try if you are in Disney Springs!
Hi guys, I’ve recently returned from Bruges in Belgium, it’s beautiful. Like a medieval town , all cobbled streets . Worth a visit x
I agree! Recently went on a cruise
Oradour sur glane is the town you’re referencing but it’s near Limoges not La Rochelle. Well worth a visit. That whole area is wonderful for food , you’ll be in your element with the food offerings. And take the time to venture to St Emilion , Bordeaux wine country. Excellent little road train takes you round some of the most famous wine chateux . Given you enjoyed the champagne houses , think you’d like the red wine versions .
A little “Star” struck saying hello to you both at Splittsville today. Thank you for the kind smiles. Have a wonderful trip!
I used to fix my gray spots inbetween colouring with a sharpie marker. It works!
Thanks so much for the shout-out - I hope you guys had fun at H20 Glow!
Thank you for your informative videos. We have got some good tips from you
Homecoming is our go to place before heading to airport. Food is amazing, cocktails are to die for. Leigh will love the chicken salad. Looking forward to the next Florida videos 😎
We still havent tried it. Maybe one for our next trip now
Thought it was a universal trip, 🤔🤔🤔 knew you couldnt resist Disney 🤣🤣
Nothing wrong with grey nick, im 60 on 3rd july 🙈🙈
We are in Rome in July and have booked an e-bike tour to discover the Catacombs. Also, last year, we did a historic food tour, which was fantastic. The guide was really knowledgeable and took us to the best places to eat 😊😊
My partner suggested we only take ONE suitcase between the two of us, next time we cruise…… yeah right😳
Lol. We all need room for the things we're going to buy right 🤔😂
If you can get a reservation at Homecoming do it! The portions are huge, so no need for an appetiser. The country fried steak was as big as my head, no kidding!
When in Rome visit
The crypts and catacombs. Also visit herculaneum instead of pompeii
Itll be great to see you both with the Bazzas again.
Has Jade (Girl up north ) stopped vlogging ?
When you go through Germany, will you try and find your geo capsule.
Good idea. Yes we will have a look. Yes jade stopped vlogging a long time ago
“A little more hip, a little less hip replacement.” I love it!
💖😂
That was funny, I did have a Chuckle at that. X
You can join a walk up list at Homecoming. We do it all the time!! Just go to hostess and ask to be put on list.. might be an hour or so wait , but they will get you in!!
You can use the MCP with Virgin, you just use B-4 airside
Thanks leigh ❤ after watching you do this I've now got canva Pro today and edited my first thumbnail for tomorrow .... I gave you a thankyou shout out on community ..... but after filming my temu haul I tried the canva Pro to remove background not bad for my first attempt 😂 .... thanks for showing how to do this Leigh ❤
In Germany you ought to try the fairytale route. It’s a collection of adorable small towns and villages. The Grimm Brothers collected all of the fairytales from these communities and published them as Grimm’s Fairytales. You can see the village where Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Rapunzel, the Princess and the Frog, etc originated. The towns are all that classic gingerbread style buildings. Not to mention it’s a beautiful drive. Doing this is the autumn when the leaves are changing color would be beautiful.
You can definitely use the MPC app for Virgin into MCO. My whole family used it in May and were through in 10 mins, just choose terminal B airside in the app.
We upgraded our 2 week universal pass last year, did the same got one preferred for free parking and discounts and two seasonal. We went from 3 park to 2 park. We went to customer services inside the park, Universal Studios told us we couldn’t down grade so then went to Islands of Adventure and they did it no problem there. Had two trips out of it so was well worth it , hope your having an amazing time xx
If you can visit Efteling in Holland it is definitely worth the visit. Such a beautiful theme park that is older than Disneyland
Its on our list 👍
If you’re near Europa park in Germany when you’re that way then highly recommend a day there, it’s like Epcot but not and so much fun! Also it’s near the Black country which is also worth going to.
Its on our list for sure, looks like a great theme park !
Nick on a sprinter there’s an another lighter socket under the dash on the passenger side near the bonnet leaver, just above it. Might be the same on the crafter.
yes it's a non ACC one though so it would flatten the battery when ignition is off
Culver’s is so good BUT absolutely not better than IN-N-OUT 😍 Looking forward to the new things 🎉
great vlog guys !!
Whilst at the amalfi coast get the hydrofoil from sorrento over to capri island. Take the chair lift into the hills. It’s amazing.
Sounds good 🌞🌞
Sounds good 🌞🌞
Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming is delicious! For the van trip, visit Pompeii & Herculaneum near Naples, Italy. Also Lake Garda & Lake Como & Lake Braies (the water here is electric blue) are beautiful. Reims in Eastern France has the Notre Dame Cathedral of Reims where kings were originally coronated & it’s prettier than the one in Paris. The Last Supper is in Milan in a little church. Can’t wait for the Europe trip!
Been seeing the Facebook posts and y'all are definitely having fun. Just watch out for the big rains coming in next week
Very exciting. I’m currently planning my Orlando trip, I’m also starting to pack my case 😂😊
The Mobile Passport Control app was only extended to ETSA/visa waiver travellers in December. I used it at JFK Terminal 4 for the first last month and it got me through in just 10 minutes. The US government are obviously pushing it because there are signs all around about it when you arrive and the Virgin cabin crew recommended it as we approached the US. At JFK T4, MPC users use the left hand lane along with US Military personnel, diplomats and cabin crew before being filtered into a dedicated MPC lane. It’s dead easy to use: you fill in most of the stuff before you travel, then take selfies on landing, submit when you get a signal (all done while taxiing to the stand) and you get a QR and instructions to follow the MPC signs. It’s that simple.
The H2O party looks really interesting. Will be interested to see how good it is
Hi leigh what apps do you use for editing videos and photos. Are they free or do you need to pay fees
We use Adobe premier Pro to edit videos. It has a monthly fee. Canva to edit photos, you can use canva for free
Homecoming is a good restaurant, for us it is always on the shortlist. Much better than crapperbarrel!
Hey guys. Just arrived home from our Florida holiday. We travelled with Virgin and landed in Terminal A. You can use mobile passport control as Terminal A and B passport control merge. It made things much quicker! 👍
In northern Italy go to (lake Garda) Riva del Garda/Torbole and Arco, walk up the Ponale path up through tunnels, Arco castle.
Try using the open table app to get reservations at restaurants in Disney Springs
We just used that new service to get through imagination faster it was great fast and easy
I always learn something from your vlogs - I’m going to JFK in November and downloaded the MPC app. Thanks Lodge guys!
Hope you enjoy it!
When your both on the European trip you should go to Slovenia it's probably one of the most beautiful places I've been. Especially lake bled. You won't regret it! 😍
Also there is a castle in a cave that is amazing! Predjama Castle
Absolutely loved my reversing camera on the motor home. Very necessary 😊.
I’ve just returned from a road trip along the French Riviera (east of Marseille). I wouldn’t want to try driving the van up and down those extremely narrow, steep, winding roads! Especially around Cassis!
Visit the pink salt pans in the national park Carmargue France looks amazing Google it saw it on a c4 programme last week Dick and Angel france or something its called ..looks spectacular..i wanna go ...they also visited a speakeasy..but ive done that in soho 😊😅😮
Please correct me if im wrong but I heard today Typhoon lagoon no longer sell annual passes. Culvers is brilliant and good value.
We used that online immigration on the mobile we flew with virgin in May. Loads easier. There was only us in the line. 👍🏻
Where do you find the download for immigration
Cheers
There were only 6 in ours at JFK T4. I couldn’t believe how easy it was.
Small world, that place you stayed at in Kissimmee all those years ago was the next road along from where my parents had a place! Great location for everything!
Would totally recommend Homecomin at Disney Springs - the starters are massive, thigh high chicken biscuits were delicious.
The Medieval town of Pérouge in France is beautiful! Would likely fit on a drive through to Italy. Dependent on when you're passing through you could checkout Vienne jazz festival, the performances are in a Roman ampitheatre!
Berlin is an amazing place to visit, checkpoint Charlie and the Jewish museum are a must to visit
Our recommendations would be try all the campsites restaurants in France; fantastic food. Camping Lac Bleu in Lac Annecy is fantastic
In Germany try rudeshiem its a lovely town.on the rhine.
Excited to see your European road trip guys 😁 x
If you go to Spain, I would recommend to visit Portugal, its amazing
👍💖
You NEED to try Spaghetti Eis in Germany. Ita one of the things I miss about living there x
In cologne there is a Lindt factory! Also near the Belgium boarder there is a German town called monschau its beautiful
Just a few ideas for your road trip. When we saw your Bodie vlog a few days ago we both said 'Oradour-sur-Glane'. You won't forget the church there. Cours Saleya in Nice. Market by day, bars, restaurants and buskers in the afternoon and night. Train des Pignes - well worth a ride or drive along route. Villages and scenery stunning. Drive to Monaco along the coast. Spain - Madrid is impressive, so is Valencia. Have a paella in Albufera where the rice is grown. Steve Marsh's vlogs of Salamanca and El Camino del Rey are worth a look. Italy - have a look at a TV series by Francesco da Mosto. A road trip in an Alfa Spyder off the beaten track.
Switzerland is such a beautiful country, we are off on our own road trip through France to Switzerland at the beginning of July 😆 in the car though!! There are so many breathtaking places to visit including Zermatt, to see the Matterhorn (although you need to leave your car/van in Tasch & get train in as Zermatt is car less). The Jungfrau area is stunning too & Interlaken is a good base to explore the region. Wherever you end up in Switzerland you will ❤️ it xx
We just walked up at Homecomin’ and was told they could seat us in 45 mins (5 of us), but sat at the bar outside immediately and had a great meal.
Its in our Feb Universal Vlog series
I’m going to Cyprus in September-and I’m getting ready now
Homecomings was really good we just walked up and sat outside. Food was best meal of our trip .definitely go and just walk up. Think we went quite early at 6ish.
We definitely need to try it at some point
Amsterdam is definitely worth a visit!
Guys, after Spain i would go to Bordeaux/St.Emilion (wine heaven, farmers markets, castles)...Oradur sur Glane....then the Ardennes ( Bastogne, Echternach) and then entering my country at Valkenburg (3 nationspoint)...then 's-Hertogenbosch (beautifull Cathedral and eat Bosse Bollen..thats a local delicatesse) and towards the ferry back home a stop at the Zaanse Schans (old historic Windmills)
I hope i did not wrote to much
Homecoming is great. If you can't get reservations, you can walk up. Thats what we did last year. Homecoming is much better than Cracker Barrel.
You could visit compiegne forest on route to Disneyland Paris. There’s a museum there which has the carriage where the peace treaty was signed in the war. I visited there when I went on a French exchange when I was at school. I then returned with my children and hubby whilst visiting the area. It’s not huge but was interesting and a good place for a stop and something to eat. Also try an Ollie bollen in Belgium it’s an Apple and sultana donut which is served warm, I had it years ago and was delicious. Enjoy your adventure
Homecomin tastes nothing like cracker barrel. Highly recommend the hot honey chicken. We usually get the sliders from the appetisers menu. I’ve managed to get reservations on the day bookings open but on this last trip we just did walk up and got seated within 20 minutes. They do it separately to the Disney app so you just have to go to the check in stand and ask.
Well done Leigh in including a little bit of his work on the vlogs in this blog - maybe stops Nick from suggesting that you don’t do anything when we all know you do all the hard work behind the actual thing we enjoy - the vlogs 😂
That may have been a windy day but it looked gorgeous
Tyhoon Lagoon glow nights is so much fun and you will definitely make your money back with all the free ice cream and popcorn 🍿 🍦
Also Belgium don’t bother with Brussels or Antwerp go to and stay in Bruges and a day trip to Ghent. Bruges is great has canal boat rides, beer museum, best chocolate shops. A massive beer wall all filled with different beers.
Thanks for the tips
When I make my fruit salad I put my favourite orange or pineapple juice in with the fruit & maple syrup 😊. So yummy
Chateau de chamboard, it has a staircase made by devinici :) was beautiful
Bloody hell Nick. That place in France sounds like a cheery day out 😂.
Culver's burgers are alright but In-N-Out burgers are BETTER than another burger in my opinion. Also Culver's is waaaay more expensive for a lesser burger. But their custard is amazing!
We have yet to have one as nice as in N out
What is the music playing on this vlog please?
Oradour is well worth a visit they also have a museum …
👋 guys 🤗 Switzerland 🇨🇭 Wattens the home of 💖 Swarovski ….please! please! Sparkle our world 😃 🤗🤗
A place I’ve seen on another vlog in France that looks just stunning is Annecy. It’s below Geneva if you’re going that side of France
In France you should do Mont Saint Michele it’s amazing its in Brittany also the American soldiers museum near Utah beach it’s very good
Hey guys I dont know if you have ever watched Northeners on Tour, Mark and lisa are just finishing 3 months in Europe, there a great watch Mark is a little bit of Joker just like your Mark. But they stay in a lot of the aires you mentioned. Hope it gives you some ideas.
Tried to do twilight check in with virgin at heathrow for trip to st lucia, and they didnt do it.
yeah I'd only available in mancs since COVID
Not grey hair Nick. It is called "High Quality Siver". Very nice actually.
Omg! you two look so handsome in the video 🤗🤗
😂💖
Never heard of that town in France. That is so sad. I would like to go there. I’ve just been watching old war movies for the memorial day weekend.
Hi guys just back from florida went to fort christmas after seeing your vlog on it loved it brenda colin katie in ireland
Jess has a reverse cam in with her satnav on her vitara
Wouldn't a leaf blower work to get all that stuff off the van instead of having to wash it all the time.
For your European road trip I'd highly recommend this campsite in the Champagne region. The fresh bread and Pastries van visits the site each morning and in the evening the sound of champagne corks popping is magical. Be sure to drive the champagne tour and visit the independent makers to sample their champagne. epernay.fr/services-et-demarches/mobilite/camping-cars/camping-municipal
Watch the northerners on tour for your Europe motorhome trip. They have been to the town you mentioned where the horrible act happened. Also they know all about aires and park ups xx
Could have done an after hours?
We did H20 glow at typhoon in the end
you have to do Salzburg ( where they made sound of music) and eagles nest hitlers house high up in the alps
Do you too have week time jobs?
TH-cam and a few other things we keep private 👍❤️
The pizza is soo different much much better.
