Thanks Jeff for 23 great years..you have made it really tough for me to follow another driver since retirement...one regret I have for you..wish YOU would have run the Indy 500..really believe you couldve won one.
as an Earnhardt fan I spent alot of time rooting against jeff but now that he is retired I have to say wow he was great the nascar world is sure gonna miss him
time stamps for who did the ads: 0:00: NBC Sports (not sure if this was for ads that aired during that week's NASCAR America episodes or fan made). 0:31: Pepsi 1:30: AARP Drive To End Hunger. 2:02: Axatla (FKA DuPont Automatic Finishes). 2:31: NASCAR's tribute ad. 3:01: Chevrolet (and GM). 3:31: NASCAR copyright disclaimer tribute version with highlights of Jeff's career.
Had the Chase not came around/because of his dominance by the way/he would 7 or 8 Titles. Dont discount the importance of him giving cars/people to the 48 in 2002.
He is one of the best and I miss him racing I also miss Dale racing these two we the cream of the track now they are gone from racing Dale RIP. I can't blame Jeff for retiring they changed the way racing was meant to be now we have the playoff when did we get from cars to balls. They ruined racing if they'd kept the right way of racing Jeff would of had 15 championships to his name. But they changed the cars they changed rules they killed racing the fans left the seats empty they took the racing to a new channel that paid more but done less for racing. They helped ruin Nascar as it was in 1990 then when Mr Dale Dead they really did things wrong. They haven't gotten back to what made them famous with the fans. The driver's can't get mad and go bunch someone that needs to be punched. They can't race like they should by bumping someone out of the way. Can't bump and run anymore can't tough the other car on the sides even. Can't have a Chevy styled body car or Ford or Toyota they all have to look the same and fit the same template that Nascar set and made up. That is suppose to be more even for the drivers and cars. No it's not. Way back Ray and all the powers in Nascar too built a car for Jeff by the books of Nascar their rule and regulation by the books and Jeff ran the car he left all the cars in the dust. The car was call TRex and after Jeff ran that race they Called Ray in to the truck and told him his car was not to be brought back to the track. It was ban from racing. Why because they built one to their rules and did everything by the Nascar Books. It was because they found speed by their rules and they told them tomorrow it won't be legal for them to run it in any race. What a shame. The other teams could of made a car just like that but they didn't. If some one else had made a car like that it would still be racing today. If Nascar felt it was right but knowing them they'd ban all cars oh wait they did now you have they cars running which don't rub good at all. Racing is dead and Mr. Dale is looking down saying what the hell are they doing to racing they made it a sissy game of racing we need to be pushing BALLS around the track now. Because that's how racing is I'm glad I'm not racing anymore that I can set up here and look down on how Powers in Nascar killed Nascar. What a waste of good racing gone bad to dead. Racing is dead my driver's are gone all the old driver's are gone because of the Nascar RULES that sucked the wind out of racing side by side bumper to bumper with no touching on any kind we play racing now. Nascar dead in 2001 and it dead again in 2015. Because of the rules and no racing to racing.
Jeff Gordon is your true 2014 Nascar sprint cup series champion

A True 7 Time Champion
KingZaySmitty. 24 no he isnt a true 7 time champ is my all-time favorite driver Dale Earnhardt gordon is a 4 time champ
@@rcracer8872 nah he's a 7 time. Nascar ruined the sport after the 2003 season by making this horseshit chase. Coming from a lifetime Earnhardt fan.
@@jesuschristislord6790 you dont know jeff would have 7 championships without the chase

Se will never forget you Jeff gordan
So is axalta the same thing as DuPont?
DuPont sold its automotive paint business and it was rebranded as Axalta.
Gordon sacrificed his career for HMS in 2002....now Hendrick needs to name him CEO/owner of HMS. He deserves it.
agree, i think that time will come when Rick retires from running his own team.
emotional
9+3' '9+3 = 24! 😎
I wish he would gone for the 100 win mark but I guess he had back issues keeping him from continuing
